Abstract

Penyediaan air bersih untuk masyarakat mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kesehatan lingkungan atau masyarakat, yakni mempunyai peranan dalam menurunkan angka penderita penyakit, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan air, dan berperan dalam meningkatkan standar atau taraf/kualitas hidup masyarakat.Sampai saat ini, penyediaan air bersih untuk masyarakat diindonesia masih dihadapkan pada beberpa permasalahan yang cukup kompleks dan sampai saat ini belum dapat diatasi sepenuhnya. Salah satu masalah yang masih dihadapi sampai saat ini yakni masih rendahnya tingkat pelayanan air bersih untuk masyarakat.Di Negara kita ini masalah lainnya yang perlu di pikirkan adalah tentang sampah. Sampah akan terus ada dan tidak akan berhenti diproduksi oleh kehidupan manusia, jumlahnya akan berbanding lurus dengan jumlah penduduk, bisa dibayangkan banyaknya sampah-sampah dikota besar yang berpenduduk padat. Permasalahan ini akan timbul ketika sampah menumpuk dan tidak dapat dikelola dengan baik

Abstract

Sistem pengolahan air limbah yang menggunakan haruslah efektif dan efisien tempat pengolahan yang besar. Beberapa rumah sakit sudah mulai mencari solusi terbaik dalam pengolahan limbah cair yaitu dengan teknik mengkobinasikan pengolahan sistem aerob dengan anaerob. Salah satunya adalah sistem pengolahan air limbah di rumah sakit Pondok Indah. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh konsentrasi BOD di effluent sebesar 11,24 mg/l dengan efisiensi sebesar 93,33%, untuk konsentrasi COD di effluent sebesar 40,00 mg/l dengan efisiensi 85,54%, konsentrasi TSS di effluent sebesar 16,7 mg/L dengan efisiensi sebesar 46,67%. Konsentrasi BOD, COD, TSS di effluent masih memenuhi standar tabel efisensi pengolahan air limbah dan standar baku mutu , dengan demikian instalasi pengolahan masih memenuhi kriteria pengolahan air limbah.

Abstract

Community life is growing along with increasing population and technological advancements. One of them is the use of laundry services that increases directly proportional to the waste produced. Laundry waste containing phosphate derived from Sodium Trypoliphosphate and high TSS (Total Disolved Solid) levels can cause eutrophication and turbidity in water bodies. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of lime and alum addition in reducing phosphate and TSS (Total Suspended Solid) levels. The research method used is the experimental method, covering the principles of chemical and physical precipitation through the addition of 0.01 lime coagulant; 0.015; 0.02; 0.025 and 0.03 g and alum 0.1; 0.5; and 1.0 g. From the experiments, the best dose of lime and alum was obtained in reducing phosphate and TSS (Total Disolved Solid) levels in laundry wastes in lime weight 0.025 g and 1,000 g alum with a 99.80% removal percentage. Whereas for TSS (Total Disolved Solid) levels with a removal percentage of 90.89%. The processing of laundry waste using the ANOVA test showed an effect of the addition of variations in lime weight and alum to the decrease in phosphate and TSS levels in laundry waste. The results of the Tukey method showed that phosphate and TSS levels from each weight variation had different averages.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in the length of fermented tempeh wastes using Pseudomonas sp bacteria in the manufacture of liquid fertilizer, nutrient content (Nitrogen) contained in tempeh liquid waste fermentation using Pseudomonas sp bacteria in the manufacture of liquid fertilizer, the number of bacteria in tempe liquid waste fermentation by using Pseudomonas sp bacteria in making liquid fertilizer. Quantitative methods, types of experimental research and observations with the aim of knowing the effect of fermentation time on the liquid fertilizer produced. The fermentation time used is, 0, 7 14. days while the volume of bacteria is 200 ml. The mathematical model of the factorial design trial design with 2 replications used is as follows, Mattjik and Sumertajaya (2000), conducted at the ITI Microbiology Laboratory Technical Implementation Unit on Jl. Raya PUSPITEK Serpong-Tangerang Selatan, from the beginning of sampling until the end of the check, starts from May to June 2018. The object of this research is the liquid waste of tempe derived from the results of boiling tempeh. In this study, the pH, nitrogen and total bacteria were seen before and after adding bacteria by fermentation. The results showed: (a) tempe liquid waste can be used as raw material for the manufacture of high-quality liquid organic fertilizer in accordance with the quality standard provisions (POC) with the addition of Pseudomonas sp in the fermentation method, (b) the increase in N content in this study was 1.52%, which is from the level of 0.56% pure urine after fermentation of N content to 2.08%.

Abstract

The increasing rate of urban population growth equates to the increasing pressure placed on theenvironment due to the need for natural resources and land availability. Limited residential land has ledto the construction of slum densely populated settlements and a lack of knowledge about environmentalsanitation which affects the physical condition and environmental health quality of the house. The purposeof this study was to determine the effect of knowledge about environmental sanitation on the health qualityof the home environment in Kebayoran Lama Utara Village. The research method used in this research isa survey method with a quantitative approach. The results showed that there was an effect of knowledgeabout environmental sanitation on the health quality of the home environment, with the results of thecorrelation analysis 0.997 with a determination coefficient of 99.4%, the regression line equation Ŷ = -0.248 + 1.958 X, the significance test of tcount> ttable = 98.493> 1.67 and significance testing of the valueof Fcount> Ftable = 9700.595> 4.00.

Abstract

Sumedang regional general hospital in the implementation of activities produces liquid waste which is if disposed directly to environment will cause water contamination and human health problems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of waste water treament plant performance in treating waste water based parameters BOD5, COD and TSS. The analysis of this study uses a T-Test statistical with SPSS software and also by calculating the efficiency of pollutants removal with using data before and after treatment to determine the effectiveness of waste water treament plant. Based on laboratory test result, the effluent concentration for BOD5, COD and TSS have fulfilled the standard discharge limit according to Ministry Of Environment and Forestry no.68/2016 and the chrom content in waste sludge has fulfilled with the standard discharge limit according to Ministry Of Environment and Forestry no.05/2014. The T-test interpretation result showed that the BOD5 and COD parameters have significant difference between the data before treatment and after treatment. Based on laboratory test result in November 2020, the efficiency of removal pollutanst for TSS 94.59%, BOD5 78.78% and COD 73.23%.
