Abstract

AbstractBackground: Anxiety that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on everyone, including preg nant women. Pregnant women are listed as one of the vulnerable groups at risk of being infected with Covid-19 because during pregnancy there are physiological changes that result in a partial decrease in immunity and can cause serious impacts for pregnant women. The pandemic situation has an impact on the decrease in visits by pregnant women to check their pregnancies at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Eye Health Center. Reports of visits by pregnant women at the Eye Health Center have shown a decline during the pandemic, according to the MCH service manager at the Eye Health Center, usually 10 to 20 pregnant women visit the puskesmas every day, but since the pandemic there has been a drastic decline from 5 to 8 people, one factor in the decline in visits. For mothers to check their pregnancy at the Eye Health Center, most of the pregnant women said they were worried about contracting the Covid-19 virus, they were afraid to visit health facilities, including the Puskesmas, and were worried about whether this virus could be transmitted to their babies. Objectives: To determine the factors related to the anxiety of pregnant women during the new normal period of the covid-19 pandemic in the working area of the Kendari City Eye Health Center. Methods: This research uses quantitative analytic with cross sectional study approach. Results: Showed that there was a relationship between income (p value = 0.002 < 0.05) family support (p value = 0.001 > 0.05) and knowledge of covid-19 (p value = 0.019 < 0.05) with anxiety of pregnant women in the future. new normal for the covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, there is no relationship between parity (p value = 0.757 > 0.05) and the anxiety of pregnant women in the new normal period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: There is a relationship between income, family support and knowledge of COVID-19 with the anxiety of pregnant women, while the parity variable has no relationship with the anxiety of pregnant women during the new normal period of the COVID-19 pandemic in the work area of the Kendari City Eye Health Center in 2022.
