Abstract

Education in 21st centuries is a technology-based learning that demands the creation of quality students in developing abilities in various skills. 21st century skills are divided into four categories including Ways ofthinking, Ways of working, Tools for working, Skills for living. Science is a discipline that has characteristics of scientific attitudes and practicums to achieve learning effectively and efficiency. The use of assessment in learning activities is a tool to see the development of students' skill abilities. This, of course, pays special attention to non-test evaluation instruments that are neglected in the affective and psychomotor assessment in science learning. The purpose of this study is to see the picture of science teachers in using non-test evaluation in the assessment of learning outcomes in the affective and psychomotor realms based on 21st century skills.The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation techniques for data collection through questionnaires. The results showed that science teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Sungai Penuh were still low in using non-test evaluation instruments. The indicators showed that teachers have difficulty using non-test evaluation instruments, did not have time to prepare non-test evaluation instruments in the affective and psychomotor domains, and the conceptual assessment paradigm of the cognitive realm that is dominant in testing the abilities of learners in science learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract In schools, up to now there are still symptoms of problems related to organizational culture, principal leadership and work motivation with teacher commitment, so that in the aspect of teacher hard work it is still in the sufficient category and needs improvement. It is necessary to examine the influence of organizational culture, principal leadership and work motivation on teacher commitment. This research aims to examine the direct and indirect influence of organizational culture, principal leadership, and work motivation to teacher commitment at SMPN Kepulauan Riau. This research is research with an associative quantitative approach with a survey design taking the location of SMPN Kepulauan Riau. The population in this study was 801 teachers with civil servant status and the sample was 80 teachers. The results of the analysis show that there is a simultaneous direct influence between organizational culture, principal leadership and work motivation to teacher commitment at SMPN Kepulauan Riau with a multiple correlation coefficient of (0.460) with a contribution of (73.96%). The conclusion is that organizational culture, principal leadership and teacher work motivation partially or simultaneously influence teacher commitment. The implication is that the better the organizational culture, principal leadership and work motivation, the higher the teacher commitment at SMPN Kepulauan Riau.

Abstract

Perumusan masalah variabel dan fokus dalam penelitian kerap terjadi kekeliruan bagi penulis karya ilmiah. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah ingin melihat teknis penulisan dan pemahaman terkait merumuskan masalah secara ilmiah, variabel dan fokus penelitian dalam penelitian pendidikan anak usia dini. Pendekatan dalam kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, teknik pengmpumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan dokumentasi dari berbagai buku dan artikel ilmiah yang relevan dengan tema yang diangkat, dengan analisis data yang dilakukan yakni merduksi data yang banyak, menyajikan data dan meverifikasi atau mengambil kesimpulan dari data yang ditemukan. Hasil dalam kajian ini dapat diuraikan bahwa masalah adalah deskripsi mengenai kesenjangan antara teori dan praktek, antara aturan dan pelaksanaan, atau antara harapan dan kenyataan, masalah timbul karena adanya tantangan, kesangsian terhadap fenomena, ambiguitas, hambatan atau kesenjangan/gap, variabel yaitu konsep yang mempunyai variasi nilai, variabel penelitian dapat dibagi menjadi dua bentuk, yaitu variabel kuantitatif dan kualitatif, karakteristik penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif dapat dengan mudah diidentifikasi yakni secara kuantitatif, elemen numerik atau angka ditonjolkan, secara kualitatif menekankan elemen deskripsi atau narasi teks, fokus penelitian merupakan suatu rangkaian bentuk susunan permasalahan yang dijelaskan sebagai pusat atau pokok pembahasan di dalam suatu topik penelitian, adanya fokus penelitian ini memiliki harapan agar penelitian memiliki fokus yang tepat, sehingga mampu mengumpulkan data dan melakukan analisis data sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian
