Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan judul Pelatihan Komunikasi Mahasiswa Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Public Speaking berbentuk pelatihan public speaking yang menyasar mahasiswa Kampus Kabupaten Karawang, bekerja sama dengan CV. Saba Jaya Publisher sebafgai pelaksana pelatihan, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang Total ada 170 peserta yang terbagi dalam 6 kelas berbeda. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan soft skill komunikasi mahasiswa melalui kelas pelatihan public speaking, sekaligus memberikan pemahaman bahwa mahasiswa tidak hanya harus berfokus pada tools tetapi juga harus diperkuat dengan kemampuan berkomunikasi. Lokasi pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di ruang DJ 105 A, B, dan C Fakulrtas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan memberikan ceramah pada pertemuan pertama, lalu pada minggu kedua peserta melakukan public speaking dengan menjawab pertanyaan yang telah dipilih sebelumnya dan dilanjutkan dengan presentasi karya. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diukur dengan membagikan kuesioner online kepada mahasiswa dan menunjukkan bahwa baik pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa terkait public speaking sudah semakin meningkat. This community service activity with the title Student Communication Training in Improving Public Speaking Skills is in the form of public speaking training targeting Karawang Regency Campus students, in collaboration with CV. Saba Jaya Publisher as the training organizer, Singaperbangsa University of Karawang There were 170 participants divided into 6 different classes. The purpose of this service is to improve students' communication soft skills through public speaking training classes, as well as provide an understanding that students must not only focus on tools but must also be strengthened with communication skills. The location of this service was held in DJ 105 rooms A, B, and C, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The method used was by giving a lecture at the first meeting, then in the second week the participants did public speaking by answering pre-selected questions and continued with a presentation of their work. The results of this service activity were measured by distributing online questionnaires to students and showed that both students' knowledge and skills related to public speaking had improved. Abstract

Mental health is a health issue that is gaining increasing global attention, especially in today's digital age. This research aims to understand the role of social communication in supporting public policies in the field of mental health. Excavate the impact of the use of social media on mental health that focuses on Generation Z, as a vulnerable group. The study describes the complexity of the relationship between social media and mental health and proposes a balanced approach to supporting public mental health in this digital age. The research methods used in this study are content analysis methods that allow researchers to study these issues in depth using a qualitative approach. Research results show that social media does not always have a negative impact, but can also have a positive effect. Digital literacy and mental health awareness are considered important tools in protecting yourself from the negative impact of social media. The conclusion is that collaboration between government and social media platforms is an important step in addressing mental health problems. Governments have a major role to play in developing regulations that protect their citizens, while social media platforms have the potential to provide valuable resources and information.

Abstract

The government through the Ministry of Health has been continuously outreaching and educating the public to understand health protocols, but the phenomena that occurred in Mon Ara Village, Makmur District, Bireuen Regency include; there are still many people who are lazy to wear masks, wash their hands with soap, and keep their distance, there are still many people who think that Covid-19 is just the engineering of certain elements, there are still people who think that Covid-19 is exaggerated, and there are still people who have the view that handling Covid-19 is the government's job. This study aims to determine community intervention on the governance of handling Covid-19 in Desa Mon Ara, Makmur District, Bireuen Regency. The theory used in this research is intervention theory. The research approach used is qualitative by using interview instruments, documentation and observation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study explained that community intervention in the governance of handling Covid-19 in Desa Mon Ara, Makmur District, Bireuen Regency, mobilized the masses to be vaccinated. However, some people do not follow the regulations, so that the community's willingness to use masks is not optimal. Community intervention in the distribution of direct cash assistance (BLT) is another problem during Covid.
