Abstract

Indonesia's Total Fertility Rate is above the ASEAN average of 2.4 per 1000 Women of Reproductive Age and has continued to experience a stagnation period in the last 4 periods. In addition, the maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still high at 359 per 100,000 live births. Long-Term Contraceptive Method is the most effective method of contraception to reduce birth rates but its users are only 20.3%. The national family planning program prioritizes the use of long-term contraceptive methods, but long-term contraceptive coverage is still low. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the use of long-term contraception of the IUD type and implants at the Sang Timur Klaten Clinic. This type of research is quantitative research, with a research approach using a cross-sectional design with the research sample being couples of childbearing age using long-term contraception of the Implant and IUD type. The population in this study was 115 acceptors recorded in the register at the clinic. Non-random sampling technique used inclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria in this study are: Acceptors who are willing to be respondents, PUS who have followed long-term contraceptive methods. Data analysis with Chi-Square with a confidence level of 95%. The results of the bivariate analysis in this study used the Chi-Square test and the multivariate test used logistic regression. The results showed that there was a relationship between age, education and menstrual history with the use of long-term contraceptive methods with a p value <0.05. There is no relationship between work, parity, husband's support and family income with the use of long-term contraceptive methods with a p value > 0.05. The most dominant factor with long-term contraceptive use is education.

Non-pharmacologically by giving aloe vera compresses can reduce breast swelling. aloe vera plant which contains anthraquinone, aloeemodin, bradikanase enzymes, carboxy peptidase, salicylates, tannins and saponins which have benefits in overcoming pain and anti-inflammatory. The potential use of aloe vera in the treatment of breast swelling has not been widely used by the public. Research on the management of aloe vera compresses and back massage on breast swelling used a quasy experimental research design with one group pre-test and post-test design. The study was conducted on 30 respondents who experienced breast swelling. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Statistical analysis of data to determine the effectiveness of giving aloe vera compresses and back massage in reducing breast swelling through the SPES (Six Point Engorgement Scale) score and clinical examination of the breast with the Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that aloe vera compresses combined with back massage were effective in the management of swollen breasts in nursing mothers with a p value <0.005 (0.000).

Abstract

Contraction pain is main problem for patients in the 1st stage of labor in active phase. Labor pain in first stage of the active phase can be treated with acupressure at points L14 and SP6. The L14 and SP6 acupressure points can stimulate release of hormone oxytocin from pituitary, which will stimulate uterine contractions, thereby helping the labor process to be better and reducing pain during labor. The aim of this study was to determine how acupressure impacts labor pain during active phase of the first stage. Design of this research is one group pre-post test. This study involved 30 women giving birth normally, in 1st stage of the active phase, who had no abnormalities or injuries at L14 and SP6 locations. Ttool used is Wong Baker Pain Scale. The results showed that maternal patients in 1st active phase had an average pain scale of 8.03 before being given acupressure, and pain scale dropped to 3.26 after being given acupressure. There was a significant difference between the groups before and after acupressure with a p value of 0.000. There is an effect of giving acupressure on the intensity of pain in mothers giving birth during the first active phase
