Abstract

The mission of MAN 1 Kota Bukittinggi, a vocational school that instills strong religious values in its students, is to develop students with entrepreneurial insights and vocational skills needed for future survival, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit in accordance with Islamic law. This research seeks to investigate the techniques and methods used by MAN 1 Kota Bukittinggi, a vocational madrasah, in developing the entrepreneurial character of its students while preserving Islamic teachings. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative methodology, by combining interview techniques and field observations. The results of the study show that by educating students starting from religious observance, personality development, application of self-discipline, creativity, and self-confidence and strong responsibility as an entrepreneur, as well as by providing insight and skills that must be mastered, students can be directed to enjoy the world of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the project based learning strategy as an effort to foster students’ entrepreneurial interest in entrepreneurship learning at SMAN 3 Batam. The data collections method uses non-participant observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit of students, was carried out in the form of cheerful Saturday Activities, direct selling, and involving students in entrepreneurship compettions. The goal is to stimulate students to be actively involved in these activities, so that they have an impact on students that is how important entrepreneurship is in life. In this activity, the school petrified the procurement of facilities and insfrastructure needed by students, so that the purpose of holding cheerful Saturday Activities, direct selling, and entrepreneurship competitions that were participated in could be achieved.

Abstract

The women's empowerment program through the home industry of water hyacinth is motivated by human resources who have a skill in the field of crafts. The existence of this home industry opens up job opportunities and takes advantage of the potential of the surrounding community. One of them is the water hyacinth plant, if cultivated, will produce creative crafts and have high economic value. The purpose of this study is to describe the strategy of empowering women through the water hyacinth home industry in Masang Isna Puring Village, Batam. Methods This research uses qualitative research, data collection uses interview and observation techniques. The informants of this research are the owner of the Isna Puring home industry and women's craftsmen. The results showed that the women's empowerment strategy went through the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors for empowerment. The conclusions of the research on the strategy of empowering women through the home industry of aceng hyacinth are able to improve the community's economy and reduce community unemployment in Masang Isna Puring village, Batam
