The increase in the number of people with social welfare problems in neglected children is due to the fact that the services provided for people with social welfare problems are still not optimal. Several factors often influence such as from the service aspect and the budget provided by the government. This research was conducted to find out how abandoned children are handled in Berau Regency. This research uses qualitative methods, primary data comes from social service officials such as data from observations and interviews, then secondary data comes from documentation on location and other online sources. The results of the study show that the treatment of neglected children at the Berau District Social Service through the Program for People with Social Welfare Problems can be classified as quite good in terms of standards, feedback, motives and opportunities. However, it is still lacking in terms of the objective of human resources to record data and the competency of the apparatus at the Berau District Social Service.
