Abstract

The high interest in tourism on the island of Bali has led the government to develop several traditional village locations into tourist villages to increase economic growth, people's welfare, eliminate poverty, overcome unemployment, preserve nature, the environment and resources, and advance culture. The development was carried out in Pinge Tourism Village due to its high natural potential and potential cultural attractions. Even so, tourists' interest in visiting Pinge Tourism Village is still considered lacking, as indicated by the popularity of Pinge Tourism Village, which is not as popular as Panglipuran Village and Ubud Village. With this background, a photography journalism workshop was conducted, which is expected to be helpful in making promotional materials for Pinge's traditional village. Some of the objectives of doing community service in the form of this journalistic photography workshop include: 1) Encourage the community to find the potential of Pinge tourism village that can attract both local and foreign tourists who will visit Bali; 2) Conducting photojournalism training activities to Pinge tourism village residents to be able to photograph the potential of the Pinge tourism village; 3) Evaluating through photojournalism competition activities to participants of photography journalism training. Through the post-test conducted after the presentation of the material, it can be seen that the people who attended this workshop had a deeper understanding of journalistic photography after listening to the presentation of the material from several speakers.
