Abstract

AbstractThe research was conducted to test the effectiveness of project-based learning (PjBL) assisted by Android ethnomathematics for students' critical thinking abilities. This research uses a pretest-posttest design. The sample used consisted of 50 students, consisting of 24 students for the experimental group and 26 students for the control group. The instruments used are posttest and pretest questions in the form of descriptions. The analysis used is the average completeness test, proportion test, independent test, paired test, and N-gain test. The research results obtained showed that they had fulfilled several tests, including: (1) the average completeness criteria; (2) fulfilling the proportion of completeness; (3) posttesting, the experimental group had better ability results than the control class; and (4) the group's critical thinking ability during the experiment increased, and the posttest results of the experimental class met the moderate criteria in the N-gain test.
