Abstract

This study aims to determine the vertical coordination of the Camat in carrying out the main tasks and functions in the District of South Bulango, Bone Bolango Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with a number of informants, observation and recording of secondary data related to research problems. The results of the study concluded that the sub-district head's communication with the unit he led had not gone well. This can be seen from the sub-district head's communication pattern which tends to be one-way. and have an impact on subordinates who feel pressured in receiving messages from a sub-district head which will ultimately affect the work productivity of the organization. The subdistrict head's direction to the unit he leads has not gone well. This can be seen from the form of direction given by the camat to his subordinates who tend to be rigid. The sub-district head's guidance to the unit he leads has not gone well. This can be seen from the intensity of mentoring which is very rarely done to the units they lead. In addition, the sub-district head tends to give orders without guidance, so work errors still occur. It is suggested that it is necessary for a South Bulango sub-district head to change the style of communication to the work unit he leads with dialogic communication. The need for a South Bulango Sub-District Head to use a pattern of direction for the work unit he leads that is friendlier. The need for a South Bulango Sub-District Head to provide more intensive guidance to the work units he leads in order to eliminate work errors.
