Abstract

Elections are very important in an effort to maintain the sovereignty of the people and democracy of the Indonesian state. A good election must pay attention to the system and the consequences of the system used. Indonesia is one of the countries that applies a proportional electoral system. The proportional system used by Indonesia since 1955 has two forms, namely a closed proportional system and an open proportional system. Indonesia currently uses an open proportional system after previously using a closed proportional system in 1998. However, in 2019 the open proportional system caused losses for Indonesia, ranging from money politics, a large budget spent by the government, to the loss of 527 lives of election organizers. This phenomenon has led researchers to examine the closed proportional system as a solution in the 2024 elections using normative research with a conceptual approach until researchers have the assumption that a closed proportional system by tightening the rules of the internal party system in the recruitment of people's representatives can be the answer to the weaknesses of the open operational system.

Abstract

Public political participation in the implementation of regional elections is a very important aspect so that the General Election Commission uses a special strategy to increase public participation in the implementation of regional elections. This research is a normative research with the approach used is a conceptual approach and statute approach. The results of this study are, KPU strategy in each region in increasing public political participation in the election in the coming year can be seen from three stages, namely the formulation stage shows there is clarity of socialization planning from KPU. Second, the action selection stage, the KPU carries out socialization to eight segments of voters with the socialization method in the form of face-to-face and the use of mass media with the implementation pattern adjusted to the characteristics of the intended area. The third stage of resource allocation is by conducting technical guidance to the ad hoc committee. The obstacles experienced by the KPU are the lack of budget, community apathy, and the limited number of KPU personnel.

Abstract

This research is research that is used to analyze the extent to which political values influence social society. As we all understand, the Indonesian nation will soon hold an election procession in 2024. So many political parties have implemented an approach with the people, as their constituents. Based on these problems, this research was carried out. This research method emphasizes normative legal analysis combined with a conceptual approach and qualitative analysis. The results of this research are that political values have experienced concrete degradation, resulting in elections being limited to a recurring 5-year routine. Such conditions certainly have a broad impact on Indonesian democracy. The suggestions that can be given in this research are about how the construction of political parties can be revitalized towards a much more progressive aspect. This progressivism will be the added value and the value that differentiates democratic rationality and political egocentrism.

Abstract

Bhabinkamtibmas is one of the figures in the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) institution that is closest to the community, because it has a small work area at the sub-district or village level. This closeness can then be used as a means of education as well as socialization, regarding how to make elections conducive and with integrity. This condition is a situation that needs to be realized, in order to build public trust and also maintain societal stability. This research was carried out using normative legal research and a sociological approach, which was then analyzed using qualitative methods. The results of this research are that Bhabinkamtibmas can be used as part of an effort to construct elections that are conducive and have integrity through a social-based system approach.
