Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti di SMP Katolik Stella Maris Tomohon, yakni mengenai realitas pelaksanaan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti, mengetahui faktor penghambat peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti di sekolah, dan upaya-upaya peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil analisis data dan pembahasan, dapat diambil kesimpulan yaitu: Realitas pelaksanaan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti di SMP Katolik Stella Maris Tomohon sudah berjalan sesuai dengan visi dan misi sekolah, hal ini terwujud dalam proses pembelajaran. Walaupun ada tugas-tugas tambahan tidak menjadi beban bagi guru dalam memberikan pengajaran dengan baik, faktor-faktor penghambat peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti baik yang berasal di dalam diri dan di luar diri itu diakibatkan oleh berbagai hal akhirnya berdampak pada kompetensi profesional guru dalam mengajar, dan upaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti perlu diwujudkan dengan tindakan nyata, terpenting ialah guru membuka diri untuk adanya perubahan dalam mengembangkan kompetensi profesionalnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to know the role of the teacher in improving student character education and the inhibiting and supporting factors of the teacher's role in improving student character education and the teacher's efforts in improving student character education. This research uses descriptive research techniques/types with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. In this study, the main instrument is the researcher himself. The findings obtained are that the teacher has acted as a facilitator, communicator, motivator and role model as well as being a bridge for students to have good knowledge and character. The main supporting factors are family or parents, the students themselves who have a good personality or character, and the role of the teacher in terms of setting a good example. Inhibiting factors are family or parents who have problems, the environment where they live, and students who have bad personalities or characters. the efforts made by the teacher in improving the character education of students, namely, the teacher seeks to always remind and instill character values to students through the learning process. Apart from that, the teacher also applies it in real actions that can be imitated by students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the role of parents in improving the life of the OMK church at St. Blasius Kalasey Station, the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the role of parents in improving church life, as well as the efforts of parents to improve the OMK church life. This research uses a descriptive research technique or type with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The main instrument in this research is the writer himself. The conclusion of this study consists of three parts, namely First: parents realize the importance of the role of parents in improving church life but the role of parentsstill not implemented optimally because there are things that become obstacles, both from parents and from OMK. Second: the factors that support or hinder the role of parents, for example the time factor which can be a supporting or inhibiting factor, because the lack or sufficient time for parents and children can influence whether or not the role of parents is optimal in improving their child's church life. Third: the efforts of parents who continue to guide their children in a way that they think is effective in terms of improving church life.
