Abstract

Kata kunci: beton, kuat tekan, batu kapur, kapur padam, aditif  Abstract Concrete is one of the most commonly used materials in the construction process. Alternative binders for mortar concrete are needed; two of the alternatives are limestone and quicklime. Both of the materials has a similar chemical structure calles Ca (Calcium) which function as hydraulic adhesives. Concrete mixtures with the addition of limestone and quicklime as additives were made of three variations, the 10% was composed  of 5% limestone and 5% quicklime, the 20% was of 10% limestone and 10% quicklime, and the 30% was of 15% limestone and 15% quicklime. The test result showed that the use of concrete with the variations of 10%, 20%, and 30% increased the compressive strength by 32,8%, 11,96%, and 24,21% of the normal concrete. Keywords: concrete, compressive strength, limestone, quicklime, additiveÂÂ
