Abstract

Minyak akar wangi merupakan salah satu komoditas ekspor unggulan Indonesia. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh industri minyak akar wangi, yaitu harga jual yang fluktuatif dan kelangkaan bahan bakar, sehingga biaya operasional tinggi. Tanaman akar wangi merupakan tanaman tahunan. Oleh karena itu, untuk menjaga kelangsungan hidup para petani, penanaman akar wangi umumnya dilakukan dengan tumpang sari tanaman sayuran, seperti kubis, kentang, dan kacang tanah. Untuk meningkatkan pendapatan industri minyak akar wangi dapat dilakukan dengan cara mengalihkan produksi akar wangi biasa (nonorganik) menjadi akar wangi organik termasuk sayuran sebagai tanaman tumpang sarinya melalui pengembangan kawasan produksi minyak atsiri akar wangi organik terpadu, sehingga nilai jualnya akan meningkat. Program ini meliputi melalui proses penggemukan sapi, pembuatan biogas, dan pemanfaatan kotoran sapi sebagai pupuk organik. Ditemukan, pengembangan kawasan produksi minyak atsiri akar wangi organik terpadu dapat meningkatkan produktivitas hidup masyarakat. Kenaikan berat badan sapi pada proses penggemukan rata-rata 0,97 ons per hari. Pengembangan biogas menghasilkan rata-rata 6 m3 dan dapat digunakan untuk keperluan sehari-hari oleh 2 keluarga. Pemanfaatan kotoran sapi sebagai pupuk organik dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman sayuran dan akar wangi yang dihasilkan lebih bersih dan lebat.Vetiver oil is one of Indonesia's leading export commodities. The problems faced by the vetiver oil industry are fluctuating selling prices and fuel scarcity, resulting in high operating costs. The vetiver plant is an annual plant. Therefore, to maintain the survival of the farmers, vetiver planting is generally done by intercropping vegetable crops, such as cabbage, potatoes, and peanuts. To increase the income of the vetiver oil industry, it can be done by shifting the production of ordinary (non-organic) vetiver into organic vetiver including vegetables as intercropping plants through the development of an integrated organic vetiver essential oil production area, so that the selling value will increase. This program includes through the process of fattening cattle, making biogas, and utilizing cow dung as organic fertilizer. It was found that the development of an integrated organic vetiver essential oil production area can increase the productivity of people's lives. The increase in body weight of cows in the fattening process is an average of 0.97 ounces per day. The biogas development produces an average of 6 m3 and can be used for daily needs by 2 families. Utilization of cow dung as organic fertilizer can increase the growth of vegetable plants and the resulting vetiver is cleaner and denser.
