Data collection tools include Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questionnaire and family support questionnaire with questionnaire method. Univariate and bivariate data analysis. The results of the study were obtained from 56 respondents, as many as 53.6% received unsupportive family support. As for the level of anxiety, 37.5% experienced severe anxiety. The results of the chi-square test obtained p-value = 0.0001 < (α=0.05) which means that there is a significant relationship between family support and the level of anxiety of prisoners. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and anxiety levels in prisoners in Padang Class II B Correctional Institution. For this reason, it is hoped that prison officers, especially prison clinic health workers, can provide deep breath relaxation therapy and are expected to continue to carry out positive coaching and activities that can reduce anxiety in prisoners. Families are also expected to always provide support and attention so that prisoners do not feel forgotten.
