Abstract

ABSTRAK Anak-anak dan jajanan adalah dua hal yang tidak bisa dipisahkan. Anak-anak pada umumnya akan membeli aneka jajan terutama saat mereka sedang istirahat di sekolah. Namun keamanan makanan jajan yang dijajakan di lingkungan sekolah belum terjamin aman dari kandungan bahan-bahan kimia berbahaya seperti Formalin, Zat Pewarna dan Boraks. Makanan jajan yang mengandung bahan-bahan berbahaya tersebut dapat memberi dampak negatif pada kesehatan anak. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah untuk mengetahui kemanan makanan jajan di lingkungan Sekolah Dasar Negeri 36 Perumnas dan SD Moria Kota Sorong melalui Tes Formalin, Zat Pewarna, Dan Boraks serta memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa tentang Makanan Jajan yang sehat. Metode pengabdian berupa Tes Keamanan makanan jajan melalui Tes Formalin, Zat Pewarna, Dan Boraks serta edukasi tentang makanan jajan yang sehat. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Hasil kegiatan pemeriksaan keamanan makanan jajan berupa tes kandungan Formalin, Zat Pewarna dan Boraks. Pada SDN 36 Perumnas ditemukan 4 Sampel Makanan jajan yang positif mengandung formalin, sedangkan pada SD Moria Kota Sorong ditemukan 2 sampel makanan jajan yang Positif mengandung formalin. Dan pada kedua sekolah tidak terdapat sampel makanan jajan yang positif mengandung zat pewarna dan Boraks. Hasil kegiatan edukasi tentang makanan jajan yang sehat pada siswa/siswi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa/siswi. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa di lingkungan SDN 36 Perumnas dan SD Moria Kota Sorong masih terdapat makanan jajan yang belum aman dari bahan berbahaya seperti Formalin. Sehingga perlunya pemberian edukasi tentang makanan jajan yang sehat secara berkala kepada anak sekolah, orangtua, pihak sekolah dan pedagang di lingkungan sekolah. Serta perlunya ketersediaan makanan jajan yang sehat dan aman dan pengadaan kantin sehat di sekolah. Kata Kunci: Makanan Jajan Anak Sekolah Dasar, Edukasi, Tes Keamanan Pangan  ABSTRACT Children and snacks are two things that cannot be separated. Children generally buy various snacks, especially when they are on break at school. However, the safety of snacks sold in the school is not guaranteed to be safe from the content of dangerous chemicals such as Formalin, Coloring Substances and Borax. Snacks that contain dangerous ingredients can have a negative impact on children's health. The aim of the service activity is to determine the safety of snacks in the 36 Perumnas Elementary School and Moria Elementary School at the Sorong City through Formalin, Coloring Substances and Borax Tests as well as providing students with an understanding of healthy snacks. The service method is in the form of a snack food safety test through formalin, coloring substances, and borax tests as well as education about healthy snack foods. The results of this service activity went well and smoothly. The results of snack food safety inspection activities include tests for the content of Formalin, Coloring Substances and Borax. At 36 Perumnas Elementary School, 4 snack food samples were found that were positive for containing formaldehyde, while at Moria Elementary School 2 snack food samples were found positive for containing formaldehyde. And in both schools there were no snack food samples that were positive for containing coloring substances and Borax. The results of educational activities about healthy snacks for students can increase students' understanding. So it is concluded that in the environment of 36 Perumnas Elementary School and Moria Elementary School there are still snacks that are not safe from dangerous ingredients such as formalin. So it is necessary to provide education about healthy snacks on children, parents, school and traders in the school. As well as the need for the availability of healthy and safe snacks and the provision of healthy canteens in schools. Keywords: Snacks For Elementary School Children, Education, Food Safety Tests
