Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine and compare the Morphological, Physical, Storage, and Chemical Characteristics of 4 types of Local Rambutan (Nephelium Sp.). Fruit characteristic test is carried out on Morphology, Physical Properties, Storing Power, and Chemical Content of Rambutan fruit which refers to Descriptor of Rambutan (IPGRI, 2003). This study uses one-way Anova Analysis which is then tested further by BNJ at a 5% level for the Chemical Content Test of fruit. Followed by Klastering Test using MVSP 32 Program with Spearman Coefficient analysis. Morphological observations of fruit quantitatively and qualitatively that is Pulasan has the character of weight, length, diameter, skin weight, aryl weight, and weight of fruit seeds is greater than other types. Lulu has a uniform fruit skin color that is dark red, Sipadeh (N2) also has a uniform color that is yellow / cream. Sipadeh (N1) and Pulasan have a sweeter taste and easier idleness (chipped). This is different from Lulu and Sipadeh (N2), where both types have a sour taste and are difficult to crack (peel) from the seeds. In the chemical test, Sipadeh (N2) and Lulu have a high content of Vitamin C and total titrated acid. Whereas Pulasan and Sipadeh (N1) which have high Dissolved Solid Total Value. The results of the morphological cluster analysis of the fruit produced a dendrogram with a phenolic similarity of -50% to 100%. The results of the cluster chemical analysis result in a dendrogram with Kf -80% to 70%. Keyword: Characteristics, Local Rambutan (Nephelium Sp.)

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the use of Ageratum by planting among the main plants of cayenne pepper as an effort to control aphids. The design used in this study is the One-way Anova Design (one-lane design), which is planting Ageratum on a chili plant plot combined with ageratum with various densities consisting of 7 experimental treatments, namely: A = Without Ageratum., B = Two clumps / plot, C = Four clumps / plot, D = Six clumps / plot, E = Eight clumps / plot, F = Ten clumps / plot, G = Twelve clumps / plot. Each experimental unit contained 4 chili plants and 2 plants were sampled, making a total of 112 plants and a total of 336 Ageratum plants. The results showed that the planting of Ageratum conyzoides influenced plant height, flowering age, harvest age and fruit weight per plant. The best treatment results in treatments without planting Ageratum (A).The aphids population decreases with the increasing population of Ageratum per plot. planting Ageratum affects the number of pests of each species and the percentage of cayenne pepper affected by the virus is getting lower with increasing population Ageratum per plot. The treatment of Ageratum plants on cayenne pepper plants can control pests and diseases but reduce production. Keywords: Babadotan, Aphids, Cayenne pepper

Abstract

The Kualu pineapple propagation technique uses crown bud cuttings which is made as a pineapple plant propagation material for peat media that is added with goat manure and several concentrations of Atonic. The aim is to obtain an effective source of cutting material for the procurement of Kualu pineapple seedlings cultivated on peat soil. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with two factors. First factor was the dose of goat manure at levels 0, 10, 20, and 30 g/polybag dan second factor was various atonic concentrations at levels 0, 2, 4, and 6 ml/L. The data were statistically analyzed and further tested for honest real difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results obtained from the interaction of the two treatment factors were significantly different to the time of shoot emergence and the percentage of shoot life. There was no significant difference in seedling height and number of leaves, as well as the main effect of each treatment. Crown shoot cuttings planted on peat media added 20 g/polybag of goat manure and 4ml/l Atonic obtained a better source of cutting material to be used as a source of seeds than others. The success of obtaining seeds from crown leaf cuttings sources through this research has answered that crown leaf cuttings have potential and great opportunity to be developed.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui intreraksi dan pengaruh utama pemberian NaCl dan Legin terhadap pertumbuhan serta produksi tanaman Kacang Tanah. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) secara faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi NaCl yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan dan faktor kedua adalah dosis legin yang terdiri dari 4 taraf sehingga diperoleh 16 kombinasi perlakuan, dimana setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 48 satuan percobaan. Data hasil pengamatan terakhir dianalisis ragam (ANOVA) diuji lanjut dengan beda nyata jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: interaksi pemberian NaCl dan Legin memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah bintil akar, dimana pemberian perlakuan N0 (tanpa pemberian NaCl) dan L3 (15 g/kg benih) yaitu 22,33 buah, tidak berbeda nyata dengan (N1L3, N0L2 dan N3L3). Natrium yang diberikan pada tanah dengan dosis 7,5 g/tanaman berpengaruh pada rendahnya laju asimilasi bersih, jumlah bintil akar dan umur panen. Pengaruh utama pemberian Legin memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter laju pertumbuhan relatif, laju asimilasi bersih, umur berbunga, jumlah bintil akar, berat bintil akar, umur panen dan indeks panen. Perlakuan terbaik adalah 15 g/kg benih (L3).
