Abstract

Rapid industrial growth worldwide, especially in Indonesia, has posed threats to the environment and public health. Environmental pollution is mainly caused by domestic wastewater generated from households, businesses, and residential areas. Types of domestic wastewater that need attention include human feces or waste, urine, detergents, soaps, and food scraps. Wastewater pollution from households has become increasingly critical due to the rise in household activities and urbanization in Indonesia. To address the issue of household wastewater pollution, efficient wastewater management systems and increased public awareness are necessary. The implementation of filtration technology is a crucial solution to maintain water quality. Filtration is a process of separating solid particles from liquids using filtering media or screens. The results of filtration can produce cleaner and safer water, and this technology continues to be developed to meet the demand for high-quality and safe water. This experiment aims to create a simple filtration bottle using recycled materials and demonstrate its effectiveness in reducing the content of household wastewater. The filtration process resulted in a 79.32% reduction in COD content, an 85% reduction in TSS content, and a 91.3% reduction in turbidity. By utilizing recycled materials and efficient filtration technology, it can help mitigate the negative impact of domestic wastewater on the environment. In conclusion, the utilization of recycled materials as a simple filtering tool can reduce the content of household wastewater and contribute to maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The awareness and participation of the community in using this filtering tool can have a greater positive impact on the environment.

Abstract

On this day, the construction or establishment of a business is not unfamiliar thing. The establishment of a business is carried out to be able to increase income or what is commonly called to make a living. A business that is established can sell products or trending (unique). The problem discussed in this case study is whether the tow investment alternatives provided are feasible and profitable or not, and the choice of one of the alternatives that should be invested first based on the calculation of the investment feasibility analysis. The subject of this case study is Deily Roll. The purpose of this case study is to analyze the results of both investment alternatives and find out the best investment alternatives to invest in advance. The data collection techniques used are interviews and observations on gross income and case expenditures. The methods used to analyze the feasibility of investing are Net Present Value and Return on Investment. The results obtained from the investment feasibility analysis are the NPV value of the first investment alternative is Rp33.404.428,42 and the ROI value in 1 month is 36,09% and the NPV value of the second investment alternative is Rp35.111.428,42 and the ROI value in 1 month is 371,32%. The results show a conclusion that both investment alternatives are feasible and the second investment alternative or Tanita KD-400 food scales can be invested first.

Abstract

Simulation plays a crucial role in increasing customer satisfaction and strengthening long-term relationships. Focusing on speed and convenience of service, as well as efficient management is essential in business strategy. Understanding customer characteristics and applying technology supports service efficiency. The method in this research is observation, where the results of the observation become the basis for analysis and decision making. This research aims to compare simulation methods between existing models using Arena and alternatives using Flexim. Based on the results of the t-test, with the hypothesis of testing the significance of the differences between the two models. Based on t-alpha analysis and t-test statistical tests on data processing using the data analysis feature in Ms. Excel, it was found that the critical limit for a 2-sided acceptance chart is +-0.9861. The t-test result of 0.9814 is in the acceptance area, supporting the statistical sustainability of the model with the observation results. Thus, it can be concluded that the data can accept Ho and the system is considered valid. The recapitulation shows that service 3 in Alternative 1 has the highest sales, but with a longer stay time. Alternative 1 on service 1 has the fastest stay time. The existing model has an even distribution without distinguishing the number of goods purchased. The result of using the existing model with the arena is replication in the range 60-769 seconds with the number of queues in the range 77-409 seconds. Meanwhile, using flexsim on the existing model gets a queue time on 10 replication models of around 66-70 seconds. Based on the results of observation data, it shows that the queue time range is 112-115 seconds. Therefore, flexsim data is also considered invalid because the time span is quite different. So, it can be concluded that the existing service and queue models are good.

Abstract

Even though Indonesia has laws related to K3, cases of work accidents are still high, including in the food services sector. Accidents in restaurants can be caused by various factors such as work procedures that do not comply with standards, human error, and lack of protective equipment. This research aims to assess K3 risks in the Saung Baraya restaurant, identify occupational risks, and provide prevention efforts. The research results show that the Saung Baraya restaurant has a high risk of accidents, including fires, electrical accidents, falls and injuries caused by sharp tools. Risk evaluation is carried out by direct observation and the use of risk assessment standards. Risk control is carried out by paying attention to fire prevention, use of personal protective equipment, infrastructure improvements and changes to work procedures. The implementation of K3 in the Saung Baraya restaurant still needs to be improved. Insufficient understanding of K3 and lack of use of personal protective equipment causes major accidents. To reduce risks, efforts are needed such as using PPE, improving infrastructure, and increasing worker awareness of potential dangers. This will provide benefits not only to workers, but also to business owners and consumers.

Abstract

The importance of occupational safety and health (K3) in industry, especially in Indonesia which is experiencing rapid growth in various sectors, including industrial chemistry. The use of chemicals and modern equipment in the industrial chemical production process increases the potential for danger to occupational health and safety and the environment. Indoclean Dynamic Company is a chemical industry company in Indonesia, using risk analysis, various potential hazards were identified, such as dust, inadequate ventilation, use of equipment without personal protection (PPE), and cramped work space conditions. Risk assessment is carried out to determine the level of risk which includes the possibility of occurrence and the level of severity that can be caused. The assessment results show that several processes have high risks, especially related to the use of PPE and room lighting. Suggested prevention suggestions include providing appropriate PPE, improving room lighting, and warning signs of dangerous chemicals. In conclusion, risk prevention and control efforts need to be improved to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment for PT.Dynamic Indoclean employees.
