Abstract

Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that 16 million births occur to mothers aged 15-19 years or 11% of all births in the world, the majority (95%) occurring in developing countries (Sariani, 2020). The practice of early marriage in the world is most prevalent in Africa and Southeast Asia. In Southeast Asia, data shows that around 10 million children under the age of 18 are married, while in Africa it is estimated that 42% of the child population, married before they were 18 years old. In general, child marriage is more common in girls than boys, about 5% of boys marry before they are 19 years old. In addition, it was also found that women were three times more likely to marry early than men. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of adolescents about maturing age at marriage. The target of this community service is 40 teenagers of SMAN 2 Mukomuko. This service begins with the provision of a pre-test questionnaire, then conducts counseling and then administers a post-test questionnaire.

Abstract

Child mortality is a core indicator for child health and well-being. According to the world health organization the World Health Organization (WHO), globally, 2.4 million children died in the first month of life in 2019. There are approximately 7,000 newborn deaths every day, which account for 47% of all child deaths under the age of 5 years. Premature birth, intrapartum related complications (birth asphyxia or lack of breathing at birth), infections and birth defects account for the majority of neonatal deaths. this service is to increase the knowledge of pregnant women on the Prevention of Neonatal Asphyxia in the Telaga Dewa Health Center Work Area. This activity is distributing pre and post questionnaires, distributing leaflets and conducting socialization and finally evaluating activities.There is an increase in knowledge after the socialization where the average before the socialization is 30 increases to 75 after the socialization. From the activities that have been carried out, it is found that it is important for mothers to know the efforts to prevent asphyxia neonatorum from an early age for the birth of healthy babies and healthy mothers.

Abstract

Intrauterine Contraception Device (IUD) is a method of contraception that is quite safe and is the most recommended in the national family planning program in Indonesia. compared to other methods of contraception such as injections, pills and implants. IUDs can prevent pregnancy for up to 10 years with a failure rate of only about 1%. Presentation on IUD use at the Padang Serai Health Center 5.9% of this activity will be carried out at several Posyandu in Padang Serai Health Center from May 3 to May 23 2023. The target of this activity is Women of Reproductive Age (WUS), totaling 167 people. The method of this activity is to distribute leaflets to participants then conduct counseling and evaluate using a pre-post test questionnaire. The results of the activity revealed an increase in mother's knowledge. The average knowledge of mothers about IUD family planning before counseling was 48% and increased to 83% after counseling. The service team recommends using IUD KB by paying attention to the many advantages it has.
