Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of improving social studies learning outcomes of grade V students of SDN 1 Dongko by using a contextual teaching and learning learning model. The use of contextual teaching and learning learning models using material related to students' daily lives can be a solution in improving the learning outcomes of grade V students. This research was carried out at SDN 1 Dongko with the research subjects of grade V students totaling 36 students. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart models. The data collection tools used in this study were tests and observation sheets. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning mode can improve student learning outcomes in social studies subjects of economic activity in Indonesia. Based on initial data, student completeness is 66% in the less category, then in the first cycle it increases to 77% in the sufficient and category. And after the improvement was carried out in the second cycle, student completeness increased to 94%. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in grade V to 1 Dongko students, the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model can be an alternative learning model used by teachers in active and fun learning.
