Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the effectiveness of using the STAD type cooperative learning pendekatan on students' problem solving abilities in number ranking material in class X senior height school. The research method is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research plan. The sample in the research was class X AE students consisting of 25 students. Data collection was carried out using test techniques. The collected data tests were analyzed using the t-test. The results of the research, based on dependent test analysis with a significant level of Ī± = 0.05, obtained the average test score before implementing the STAD learning approach on students' problem solving abilities in graded number material was 64,84 and after applying the STAD learning approach the average test score was obtained 82 with tcount > ttable 3,465 > 1,714. In conclusion, the mathematics learning outcomes of students after X senior height school after implementing the STAD learning approach are significant.
