Abstract

Mobility, the ability to move freely, easily, rhythmically and purposefully in the environment is a very important part of life. Individuals must move to protect themselves from trauma and to fulfill their basic needs (Asmadi, 2017). Mobility is very important for the independence of individuals who are not able to move totally as vulnerable and dependent as a baby. Using counseling methods, question and answer, roleplay with additional media properties. Training of Trainer activities means that participants listen and are orderly in the process of delivering material by the presenter and participants are able to practice correctly how to ambulate and mobilize with a wheelchair, walker and cane. after the training, participants know the definition, objectives, types and How to ambulate and mobilize elderly people who are on bed rest, namely how to ambulate and mobilize using a wheelchair, walker and cane.

Abstract

Background: Major surgery is a method of treatment that is most often performed to treat a medical condition or disease. World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020 the worlds laparratomy patients increase every year until 10%. In Indonesia, laparotomy cases are ranked 5th, it is recorded that the total number of operationsthere are1.2 milion peoplesand an estimated 42% of them are laparotomy surgeries. Nausea and vomiting are the two most common postoperative side effects. Early mobilization exercises can have an effect on reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting in anesthetized patients. Objective: to determine the effect of early mobilization on the frequency of nausea and vomiting due to anesthesia in post-laparotomy patients at Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Jakarta. Research Method: pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest design. The sample size of this study was 56 post-laparotomy patients using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test. Results: nausea, vomiting before early mobilization in large post-laparotomy patients, mild nausea (50.0%) and after early mobilization, most of them were not nauseous (53.6%). Bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon test obtained p-value: 0.000 (α: <0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of early mobilization on the frequency of nausea and vomiting due to anesthesia in post-laparotomy patients at Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Jakarta.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on a brain disease, namely stroke. Stroke results in much higher mortality and morbidity. Viewed from the aspects of risk of death, high medical costs, decreased quality of life and increased prevalence, stroke has a broad impact. Apart from that, decubitus problems also arise in stroke sufferers due to prolonged pressure, the parts that experience bruising are the hips, buttocks, foot joints and heels. Based on a preliminary study conducted at the Tangerang Regency General Hospital, there were 89 patients with a diagnosis of stroke starting from 2022. Meanwhile, in the Cempaka room, it was found that during the assessment there was 1 case with a diagnosis of stroke on January 2 2024. The results of this research are effectiveness. right and left tilt positions in reducing pressure sores or decubitus in patients with stroke. The conclusion of this study is that the right and left side positions are non-pharmacological techniques for reducing pressure ulcers or decubitus and can be used in patients who experience problems with prolonged bed rest. The suggestion from this research is that intervention in right and left tilt positions can be carried out according to the 2021 PPNI SOP.
