Abstract

Knowledge of personal menstrual sanitation allows women to misbehave in the act of personal menstrual sanitation which can cause vaginal discharge, venereal diseases, skin irritation and urinary tract infections (UTIs). The purpose of this research was to find out the relevance between knowledge level and behavior of young lad about menstrual personal cleanliness at the Ministry of Health Surabaya Polytechnic, DIII Nursing Study Program, Tuban. The study design uses correlation with a cross sectional approach. The population in this research were female students level 1 & 2 of the Surabaya Ministry of Health Polytechnic, DIII Nursing Study Program, Tuban. The sampling mode used is total sampling. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire, and the data was analyzed using chi-square test. Based on statistical check results obtained (p = 0.287 <0.05) which means there is no relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene menstruation behavior in DIII Nursing Study Program students in Tuban, with knowledge results in the good category 67.1% and behavior in the sufficient category 48 .2%. It is expected that the respondent will carry out personal menstrual hygiene actions properly and correctly.

Abstract

One of the diseases that is common suffered by some Indonesian people is diabetes mellitus. The disease is caused by a diet that contains high blood sugar levels and an irregular lifestyle so that people with diabetes mellitus tend to be more severe. This study aims to analyze the dominant factors of dietary compliance of patients with diabetes mellitus in the Tuban health center area. The method used by using the sampling technique is Simple Random Sampling. The variable used is the dominant factor of people with diabetes mellitus. Based on the results of statistical tests, obtained P> (0.005) which means there was no significant relationship between knowledge, motivation and family support for people with diabetes mellitus and dietary adherence. There are 58% for the category of someone who has knowledge, 77% good support from family and 53% personal motivation. So that, maintaining blood sugar levels and obey to a healthy lifestyle is highly recommended for patients to be free from diabetes mellitus and reduce complications in their body.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a health problem in Indonesia both in urban and rural. The achievement of children with toddler diarrhea decreases due to Covid-19. The purpose of the study was to know the description of the level of education and socio-economic status of mothers who took advantage of diarrhea handling services for toddlers in the work area of the Jenu Health Center. The research design is descriptive. The population used was all mothers who had toddlers with a history of diarrhea in the working area of the Jenu Health Center, totaling 335 people. The sample of this study was 183 mothers who had toddlers with a history of diarrhea in the working area of the Jenu Health Center. Using Simple Random Sampling. Retrieval of data with questionnaires and descriptive analysis using frequency tables. The results showed that most of the mothers who used diarrhea handling services in the Jenu Health Center Work Area were aged between 25-34 years (55%), almost all of whom had ≤ 2 children (87%), almost half of whom had a low level of education (45%), most of them have middle socioeconomic status (69%). The mother's education level is low but most of the mothers are of productive age. Education is directly proportional to knowledge. Increasing age affects the increase in knowledge acquired. Knowledge can be obtained from information from health workers, electronic media, and print media. Middle socioeconomic status with several children ≤ 2 means that family welfare is guaranteed, having many children will have an impact on high expenses for necessities. Children also have better access to health services and care.

Abstract

For adolescents, food is a basic need for the growth and development of their bodies. Lack of food consumption, both qualitatively and quantitatively will cause the body's metabolic processes to occur, so that in consuming food, what needs to be considered is balanced nutrition. The cause of anemia in adolescents is due to irregular eating patterns. Adolescents with anemia in Tuban Regency in 2018 were 463 people. An initial survey by researchers at SMAN 3 Tuban found that 9 out of 10 children had signs of anemia. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the eating habits of young women and the incidence of anemia at SMAN 3 Tuban Correlation analytic research design, cross-sectional approach. The population of this study is all young girls at SMAN 3 Tuban class XI for the 2022 academic year, 152 students, a sample of 110 students. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Independent variable eating pattern of young women, dependent variable the incidence of anemia. data collection distributed questionnaires and observed signs of anemia symptoms. processing data using chi-square test. The results of the study were that most (75%) of female adolescents had a poor diet, almost half (42.7%) of adolescents experienced anemia. Chi-square test results p = 0.001 <0.05. These results indicate that there is a relationship between the diet of young women and the incidence of anemia. The better the diet of female adolescents, the lower the risk of these adolescents experiencing anemia. Efforts that can be made by the school are to carry out activities to check Hb levels for young girls at least once every 6 months carried out thoroughly, schools carry out the habit of taking iron tablets together at school once a month accompanied by a counseling teacher.

Abstract

Reproductive health problems that are often experienced by women are menstrual disorders. The normal menstrual cycle lasts for 21-35 days, 2-8 days is when menstrual blood comes out which ranges from 20-60 ml per day. The results showed that 8 out of 10 female students who experienced irregular menstrual cycles were caused by academic stress. The aim is to describe the factors that cause irregular menstrual cycles in adolescents at SMA Negeri 4 Tuban. Descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all young women at SMAN 4 Tuban, with a sample size of 87 teenagers. The sampling technique used is Total Sampling. The research variable is the factors that cause irregular menstrual cycles in adolescents. The method of collecting data was by distributing questionnaires. The results showed that almost half (46%) of adolescents experienced menstrual cycle irregularities, a small proportion (1%) of adolescents experienced severe stress and almost half (45%) of adolescents experienced moderate stress, almost half (28%) of adolescents had thin nutritional status and some small (9%) adolescents have obese nutritional status, all adolescents (100%) have poor eating habits, almost all (86%) adolescents have a sleep duration of less/more than 8 hours, and most (60%) adolescents do light activity and a small proportion (2%) do strenuous activity. The school should provide an appeal through banners/posters containing movements for a healthy lifestyle, normal sleep duration, regular exercise and maintaining a good diet.

Abstract

Stunting is a global problem because of its high prevalence. According to several studies, one of the factors that causes a high prevalence of stunting is the psychological factor of the mother. Mother's psychology can directly or indirectly affect the child's parenting pattern, because it can cause a decrease in the mother's sensitivity in carrying out her role in the family, especially in sensitivity to toddler nutrition. The purpose of this study was to determine the psychological factors of the mother that were most dominant in the incidence of stunting under five. The design of this study uses a correlation cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were mothers who had toddlers in the working area of ​​the Merakurak Health Center as many as 109 mothers. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire. Data analysis using chi-square and logistic regression. Based on the results of statistical tests, there are no psychological factors that most dominantly affect mothers with stunting toddlers, with the results of mothers experiencing anxiety, namely 82.6%, stress 56.2%, lack of social support 45%, emotional 89.9%, and depression 25.7%. However, based on this study, it was found that the most common psychological problem experienced by mothers with stunting toddlers was anxiety Mothers who experience anxiety can have an impact on providing nutrition to toddlers, one of which can cause stunting toddlers, because mothers are more likely to be anxious in dealing with situations providing nutrition to toddlers
