Abstract

The economic development of a country is often measured by economic growth, which is an indicator of the success of development. National development aims to improve the welfare of society, which can be achieved through economic growth. Social and economic factors are interrelated, with the position of individuals in society being influenced by economic factors, education level, and income. Modes of transportation, such as asphalt roads, play an essential role in the economic development of society by increasing accessibility. In 2015, the Namtabung village government collaborated with the provincial government to build an asphalt road, which has since improved connectivity between villages, reduced economic limitations and accelerated the growth of the village economy. This study carries a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, involving interviews and observations as the primary data sources. Researchers are actively involved in the events or situations being studied, creating a deep understanding. Descriptive qualitative research methods investigate research objects in a natural context or actual situation without experimental manipulation. The population consists of 15 members of the Namtabung village community who have or do not have a mode of transportation. The sample was selected by simple random sampling, taking five people from 3 RTs to get 15 community samples. This approach allows researchers to gain in-depth insight into the impact of transportation modes on the daily lives of the Namtabung village community. The construction of asphalt roads and transportation modes in Namtabung Village has positively impacted social and economic aspects. Education, health, housing, and community income have increased significantly. The agricultural and fisheries sectors have also developed with adequate transportation, even to neighboring villages. Land transportation facilitates the sale of products, improves mobility, and supports access to education and health services.

For a teacher, finding the ideal engagement pattern takes work. Every student is unique, and they all have different beliefs and perspectives. The teacher interaction pattern depends on the material delivered; the teacher said that one, one, two, or three interaction patterns can be used in Learning. This study calculates the percentage of results using quantitative methods. Used to calculate the percentage of numbers from a survey that examines the impact of teacher engagement styles during geography teaching on students' enthusiasm for Learning. In addition, the study results showed that the interaction pattern of teachers of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 in integrated social studies Learning impacts their learning motivation. Proven by the calculation results obtained by the value Given F (Deviation from linearity) of 2.691 and a sig value of 0.175 ± 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant linear relationship in the teacher interaction pattern with students' learning interests. It can be concluded that the learning interests of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Amalatu are influenced by the way teachers interact with them during integrated social studies learning. There is a significant influence; this is done using the t-test, producing a sig.0.000 value of 0.05 and a Tcount value of 4.606 Table 2.093. Then, it can be seen from the calculation of the coefficient of determination that the variable of teacher interaction patterns (x) in influencing student learning interest (y) is 52.8%, with 47.2% influenced by factors not included in this analysis.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of knowledge about environmental pollution on the behavior of single-use plastic use in academic environments, specifically at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pattimura University, Ambon. Involving students of the social science education program, the study used a survey approach with data collected from September 11 to October 11, 2023. Knowledge was measured using the Guttman scale, while the behavior of single-use plastic use was evaluated through a Likert questionnaire. The analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge about environmental pollution and students' behavior of single-use plastic use. Although most respondents had adequate knowledge, the use of single-use plastic was still high, highlighting the need to improve sustainable practices. Regression analysis strengthened this finding by confirming the significant influence between knowledge and behavior. Recommendations include developing more intensive education programs and campaigns on the negative impacts of single-use plastics and providing environmentally friendly alternatives. Collaboration between educational institutions, government, and the community is expected to create a more sustainable environment.
