Abstract

In learning the violin, there are various kinds of challenges and obstacles, both technical and non-technical. Strong motivation is needed, supported by appropriate learning methods so that students can develop into capable violinists. This article outlines the philosophical, technical, and psychological aspects of violin learning by world-class violin pedagogues, which are then analyzed in an eclectic manner in order to obtain new approaches that can be applied to develop violin learning in Indonesia. The literature review method is used to select important aspects used in violin learning. The research results show important points of philosophical study in learning the violin include philosophy in starting to learn the violin, mental approach, emotional aesthetics, and talent in music. Technical and psychological studies include body position in playing the violin, sound production, intonation, vibrato, legato, musical nuances, psychological musicians, and the repertoire played. It can be interpreted that these selected and analyzed philosophical, technical, and psychological values of how to play the violin can become the basis for understanding and efforts to build students' capabilities in playing the violin in a comprehensive manner, in accordance with the Indonesian cultural background. Keywords: Eclectic, philosophy, violin technique, musical learning

Abstract

Model Pendidikan abad XXI menjadi hal yang sangat penting untuk dijadikan rujukan dalam penyelenggaraan sebuah pembelajaran. Artikel ini menguraikan berbagai indikator ideal dalam pendidikan vokasional bidang musik di Indonesia. Melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, diperoleh beberapa indikator ideal pendidikan vokasional bidang musik antara lain 1) Konteks pembelajaran vokasional bidang musik dapat ditinjau dari konteks ekonomi, sosial, pendidikan, sejarah dan internasional yang mampu memberikan daya kreatifitas dan skill yang tinggi dengan didukung sarana prasarana yang mutakhir; 2) Proses input melalui pengembangan instrumen tes berbasis kompetensi yang bertujuan untuk mengukur kompetensi; 3) Proses pembelajaran menggunakan strategi, metode, teknik, gaya dan taktik pembelajaran yang efektif; 4) Output pendidikan vokasional musik meliputi kompetensi utama dan tambahan yang harus dimiliki; 5) Outcome pendidikan vokasional musik terkait dengan kemandirian, kepercayaan publik, dan kreatifitas. Indikator-indikator ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk mengembangkan pendidikan musik yang ideal untuk menghadapi tantangan kehidupan yang sangat dinamis dan kompleks di abad XXI.AbstractIdeal Indicators of XXI Century Vocational Education in Music in IndonesiaThe 21st-century education model is very important to use as a reference in organizing learning. This article describes various ideal indicators in music vocational education in Indonesia. Through observation, interviews and documentation studies, several ideal indicators of vocational education in the field of music were obtained, including 1) The context of vocational learning in the field of music can be viewed from economic, social, educational, historical and international contexts which can support high levels of creativity and skill. state-of-the-art infrastructure; 2) Input process through the development of competency-based test instruments which aim to measure competency; 3) The learning process uses effective learning strategies, methods, techniques and tactics; 4) Music vocational education output includes main and additional competencies that must be possessed; 5) The outcomes of vocational music education are related to independence, public trust and creativity. These indicators can be the basis for developing ideal music education to face the very dynamic and complex challenges of life in the 21st century.Keywords: Indicators; vocational education; Indonesia's 21st century music
