Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of group guidance services using acceptance and commitment techniques to reduce the consumptive lifestyle of students. This study uses a quantitative method of Quasi Experiment type with The Non Equivalent Control Group design. The research subjects were second semester students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, where second semester students of Class B were the experimental group and class A students were the control group. The research instrument is a consumptive lifestyle questionnaire with a Likert Rating Scale model. Analysis of research data was carried out by means of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Sample test. The results of the study revealed that the effectiveness of group guidance services using the acceptance and commitment technique was effective in reducing the consumptive lifestyle of guidance and counseling study program students. This can be seen from the difference in the posttest results of the experimental group which is greater than the posttest of the control group.

Abstract

Perspektif komparatif dalam studi budaya merupakan pendekatan analitis yang mengeksplorasi perbandingan dan kontrast antara berbagai budaya untuk memahami perbedaan dan persamaan mereka. Penelitian budaya komparatif bertujuan untuk menguraikan implikasi dari keragaman budaya tersebut dalam konteks sosial, politik, dan ekonomi. Dalam abstrak ini, diperkenalkan konsep perspektif komparatif dalam pendekatan studi budaya, menjelaskan metode-metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian budaya komparatif, dan menganalisis implikasi dari pendekatan ini dalam konteks global yang semakin terhubung. Metode penelitian yang umum digunakan dalam studi budaya komparatif, seperti analisis komparatif budaya, etnografi lintas budaya, dan pendekatan teoritis lintas budaya, dipertimbangkan untuk mengidentifikasi pola-pola dan tren dalam kehidupan budaya manusia. Tantangan dalam mengimplementasikan pendekatan ini, termasuk masalah keaslian, konteks budaya yang kompleks, dan bias penelitian, juga disoroti untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih holistik tentang penelitian budaya komparatif. Implikasi dari perspektif komparatif dalam studi budaya mencakup pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang keragaman budaya, pembangunan kebijakan multikultural, dan promosi dialog antarbudaya. Dengan memperhatikan penelitian budaya komparatif, kita dapat memperkaya pemahaman kita tentang dinamika budaya dan mendorong dialog yang lebih inklusif dan saling menghormati di antara budaya-budaya yang berbeda.

Abstract

Counseling is assistance and guidance provided to individuals in general, and students in particular at madrasas or schools in order to improve the learning process. Counseling in madrasas or schools is carried out to meet the development of students in the process of emotional development and guidance in madrasas or schools and in the community. Ethics is closely related to the concept that an individual or group has to assess whether the actions they take are wrong or right, good or bad. Ethics is in the form of written regulations (codes) that are created systematically based on existing moral principles and, if necessary, can be used as a tool to measure all kinds of actions that are generally logically considered to deviate from ethical values. In the counseling process, errors or differences between clients' backgrounds often occur which makes the counseling process ineffective. Because different cultures create obstacles to communication, while communication is part of culture.
