Abstract

This research aims to assess the potential quality and quantity of groundwater in Piru City and its surrounding areas. The survey method involving primary and secondary data analysis was employed, including satellite imagery, thematic maps, and field observations. The key findings are as follows: (1) The potential quantity of groundwater in the research location is approximately 40,512 x 10^6 m³year-1, supporting the demand for clean water until 2020. (2) The quality of groundwater varies, with some portions deemed unsuitable for consumption, particularly in the Waetemen coastal area (high Fe) and Markas complex (low pH). However, the overall water quality remains suitable for agricultural purposes, and it is categorized into three groups with different risks of alkalinity and salinity. (3) Based on the groundwater potential, recommendations include utilization for drinking water, urban development, and agriculture, especially in alluvial plains with high potential in the unconfined aquifer. Conservation zones should be implemented in gently sloping hill areas. In conclusion, this research provides crucial insights for groundwater management and regional development, particularly considering the rapid population growth.

Abstract

Sound Slides or sound slides are an innovation in learning that can be used as a learning medium and are effective in helping students understand abstract concepts to become more concrete (concretizing something that is abstract). Says that learning outcomes are changes in individual behavior which include the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The learning outcomes referred to in this research are the changes obtained by students in completing the learning program through audio-visual learning media. This research was carried out at Satap Sinairusi MBD State Middle School for one month using this research method, namely quasi-experiment or quasi-experiment. Quasi Experiment has a control group, but it cannot function fully to control the variables that influence the implementation of the experiment, this is because the group used is a pre-existing group. Therefore, quasi experiments are used if it is difficult to get a control group. The learning outcomes of students from the experimental class experienced major changes after using sound slide learning media when compared to the control class which did not use sound slide learning media. This proves that the sound slide learning media has an effect on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects.

Abstract

Early marriage, especially below the age of 20, is often triggered by a lack of understanding of negative impacts such as reproductive health issues and limited education. Religion, religious views, and lack of education as well as social pressure, mass media, and local customs play a role in early marriage decisions. The impacts include health problems, interrupted education, and economic issues, as well as an increase in domestic violence and divorce. This study aims to understand the driving factors of early marriage and its impacts, particularly in Desa Neniari, and formulate concrete countermeasures. This descriptive study aims to provide an overview of the impact of early marriage on child rearing patterns within families in Desa Neniari using purposive, internal, and snowball sampling techniques as well as data collection techniques through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, with data analysis conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. The perspectives of children who marry early in Desa Neniari are influenced by social pressure and financial concerns, while parents view early marriage as a guarantee of a better future for their children, and religion emphasizes physical and mental readiness before marriage, with education playing a crucial role in providing an understanding of the risks of early marriage and developing healthy communication skills for the younger generation.
