Abstract

Acne is one of the physical problems experienced during adolescence. The prevalence of acne sufferers in Indonesia ranges from 80-85% in adolescents with a peak incidence of 15-18 years of age. Acne often causes a lack of self-confidence of a teenager. A teenager with acne will try to treat it and treatment in general will be done with self-medication. A person's knowledge and attitude will affect the individual's way of behaving, including in carrying out treatment by means of self-medication. This research was conducted on teenagers in Ujung Tanduk Village, Laguboti District, Toba Regency where there were 60 populations and samples were taken as many as 45 respondents, which were collected in WhatsApp groups. Based on the research that has been carried out, 64.4% of respondents have good knowledge and the remaining 35.6% are knowledgeable enough and there are 48.9% of respondents who have good attitudes, 33.3% are moderate and 17.8% have poor attitudes, and found a relationship between knowledge and good attitudes. evidenced by the results of statistical tests (Chi Square test) where the p value <0.05.

Abstract

Prescription is a written request from a doctor to a pharmacist to provide drugs for patients written in the prescription. For in accordance with applicable laws and regulations to minimize irrational use of drugs and preventmedication errors for patient safety purposes. The purpose of this study was to describe Description the completeness of prescriptions for inpatients at the Pharmacy Installation HKBP Balige General Hospital period of July 2020. The design of this study was descriptive, with a sample of 186 prescriptions, using a cluster random sampling technique. The results showed that 46.2% of prescriptions at the Balige HKBP RSU for the July 2020  period were complete and 53.8% incomplete. Of the total 186 prescription sheets, the information on the doctor's name (27.4%), the doctor's initial (5.9%), the patient's name (0.5%), the patient's address (36.6%), the instructions for use (10,2%). This shows that the completeness of the recipe at RSU HKBP Balige is not complete. Incomplete prescriptions occur because many visiting patients increase the busyness of the prescriber, so doctors do not have time to write a complete prescription. It is recommended to the management of RSU HKBP Balige to put more emphasis on doctors to complete prescriptions, so that TTK does not find incomplete prescriptions anymore.

Abstract

The syrup is made with the aim of increasing patient acceptance in taking medicine because it is convenient and practical when consumed. Paracetamol is classified as a drug that is rather difficult to dissolve in water with a water solubility of 1: 70 so that in the formulation of syrups it is necessary to assist the dissolution process with several methods such as cosolvention and the addition of surfactants. This review article aims to analyze the studies that have been conducted related to the effect of cosolvent variations on the stability of paracetamol syrup preparation formulations. Several tests were conducted to evaluate the preparation of paracetamol syrup, namely organoleptic test, content determination test, pH test, viscosity test, and specific gravity test. Data was obtained from relevant literature sources such as Google Scholar, ResearchgateNet and Science direct and obtained 10 journals that met the criteria. The use of different cosolvents in syrup will produce different physical values. Paracetamol syrup with PEG 400 and glycerin cosolvents had greater viscosity than paracetamol syrup with propylene glycol and Ryoto sugar ester cosolvents. Paracetamol syrup with PEG 400 and glycerin cosolvents had a greater specific gravity than paracetamol syrup with propylene glycol cosolvents and Ryoto sugar ester surfactant. Based on the results of a review of 10 journal articles, it appears that the use of different cosolvents in paracetamol syrup preparations can modify the preparation and affect the level of stability of the resulting syrup preparation.
