Abstract

This paper examines how the firm size of Islamic and Conventional bank different in performance of efficiency, stability and asset quality. The result of the study is aimed to see the extent of Islamic banks compete with conventional banks in the ASEAN context. The type of this research is a comparative study. The data is obtained from 31 conventional banks and 17 Islamic banks in Southeast Asia over the period of 2013-2017. Collected data are analyzed using DEA Analysis, Loan Loss Provision, Loan Loss Reserves and Z_Score. The findings showed that there were differences in efficiency and stability between conventional banks and Islamic banks based on firm size.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the extent to implementation of transparency, responsiveness, professionalism, rule of law, and vision strategies have been implemented and then contribute to performance of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). This study used on explorative qualitative approach with the interview methods conducted on four Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Special Region of Yogyakarta by involving the director, staff, headman, and the local community members as resource. The result of this study found that governance practices with the principles of transparency, responsiveness, professionalism, rule of law, and vision strategies can influence the performance of Village-Owned Enterprises (VOE). This study gives us the knowladge about governance practice literature and its role in efforts to achieve performance in Village-Owned Enterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of audit quality determination factors which consist of restatement, small profit, prior roa meet, going concern opinion and type 1 error going concern opinion on audit quality. This research was conducted on BUMN companies in Indonesia in 2015-2019 and the research sample was determined using the purposive sampling method so that 46 sample companies were obtained. The results show that companies that do restatement do not have a worse audit quality than those that do not restate, companies that are categorized as small profit do not have audit quality that are worse than those that are not categorized as small profit, companies that are categorized as prior-roa meet do not have audit quality that is worse than those who are not categorized as prior roa meet, auditors who provide going concern opinions do not have better audit quality than those who do not provide going concern opinions and auditors who make type 1 errors going concern opinions do not have worse audit quality than those who do not commits a type 1 error of going-concern opinion.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of consideration of leadership style on evaluation fairness mediated by a combination of financial and non-financial performance measurements and levers of control. This study takes a population of employees who work at companies in the service, trade, and manufacturing sectors. The research location was conducted in the satellite area of Jakarta (Jabodetabek). We used a questionnaire distributed to respondents using the hand delivery systems technique. The data were analyzed and processed using structural equation modeling - partial least square (SEM-PLS) with the Warp-PLS software 3.0. This study shows that managers who use a consideration of leadership style directly affect the fairness of evaluation within the company. This study also shows that this relationship can be mediated by a combination of financial, non-financial performance measures and levers of control. Although, on a partial mediation basis. This research focuses on the relationship between the influence of leadership style consideration on evaluation justice. This study also looks at the role of mediation by a combination of financial, non-financial performance measurement and levers of control, namely: objective diagnostic, interactive objective, subjective diagnostic, and interactive subjective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and find out about the audit quality of companies listed on Bursa Efek Indonesia from 2015 to 2019. in taking samples in this study using purposive sampling method. The data used in this study is the annual report of companies listed on the Bursa Efek Indonesia obtained from the Bursa Efek Indonesia website and the website of each sample company, testing is done by using regression. The results showed that Auditor Industry Specialization had a positive effect on audit quality, Audit Fees had no significant effect on audit quality, Audit Delay had a positive effect on audit quality, New Clients had no significant effect on audit quality, and KAP Size (Big 4 or Non Big 4) does not have a significant effect on audit quality and the number of clients has a negative effect on audit quality in companies listed on the Bursa Efek Indonesia in 2015-2019.

Abstract

Based on interviews conducted with the Head of the Vocational High School Management and Business Vocational High School Subject Teacher Conference in West Sumatra Province, it was found that teachers need to improve their competence about the use of Computer Accounting Applications. It is known that teachers still lack competence, and teachers are still unfamiliar with how to operate various menus and functions that can be used in a spreadsheet program to complete company financial reports. Based on this condition, the teaching and learning process for subjects has been done more with the lecture method and a little practice. So that this affects the competence of SMK graduates. In fact, the guidance for the world of work requires SMK graduates to operate this application program properly. The community's activity was carried out for two days on 18 and 19 September 2020 at SMKN 2 Kota Padang. The implementation is carried out in three stages, namely material presentation, integrated training, and evaluation. At the end of the activity, it was known that there was an increase in the understanding of the participants regarding the preparation of financial statements of trading companies using Microsoft Excel with a case settlement value that could be achieved was 85.71%. Furthermore, this increase in teacher competence is expected to be transferred to students and is reflected in the value of UKK and the acceptance of graduates in the world of work.

Abstract

This study aims to examine differences in perceptions between government external auditors and government internal auditors about the effectiveness of red flags in detecting fraud on procurement of government goods and services and get the most effective red flags by external and internal government auditors in detecting fraud on procurement of goods and services government. The research design is quantitative research with a sampling technique using a purposive sampling method. Respondents in this study are BPK auditors as external auditors and BPKP auditors as internal auditors. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that there are different perceptions between internal and external auditors on the effectiveness of red flags in the procurement of goods and services. This study does not provide evidence that the auditor's experience has a significant effect on the auditor's perception of the effectiveness of red flags.
