Abstract

Bahasa inggris sudah menjadi kebutuhan sebagai bagian dari bahasa internasional di negara ini. Anak-anak usia sekolah dasar marupakan anak-anak dengan usia potensial untuk diberikan pengenalan pengausaan bahasa dikarenakan usia ini adalah usia dimana anak-anak lebih mudah menyerap pembelajaran bahasa. SD negeri Karanggayam merupakan sekolah dasar negeri yang berada di daerah karanggayam desa sitimulyo kecamatan piyungan kabupaten bantul. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan, SD ini belum menerapkan pembelajaran bahasa inggris dalam aplikasi kurikulum pembalajaranya. Sementara di daerah lain seperti di daerah kodya SD lain sudah menerapkan pelajaran bahas inggris. Peltihan pengenalan bahasa inggris di rasa perlu untuk mengenalkan bahasa inggris keapda siswa agar mereka lebih siap dan mampu ketika mendapatkan pembelajarn bahas inggris di pendidikan tingkat yang lebih tinggi atau pendidikan menengah pertama. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengenalan bahsa inggris dasar tentang bagaimana membaca huruf dan kata dalam bahasa inggris yang benar. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan membaca huruf dan kosakata yang benar dalam bahasa inggris. Peserta palatihan adalah siswa kelas 5 SD Karanggayam. Pelatihan diberikan dengan metode ceramah simulasi dan permainan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada hari Jumat tanggal 12 April 2019 pada pukul 09.30 - 11.30 bertempat di SD Karanggayam Sitimulyo Piyungan Bantul. Peserta pelatihan berjumlah 24 siswa. Peserta pelatihan antusias dalam kegiatan pelatihan dan melakukan semua simulasi dan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh team. Team pangabdian memberikan penjelasan dan contoh simulasi dari dimulai dengan ceramah, simulasi dan kemudian praktek bergiliran kepada semua siswa peserta pelatihan. Semua siswa diberikan kesempatan untuk melaksanakan praktek membaca dengan diberikan kartu kosa kata dalam bahasa inggris. Diharapkan pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat besar sebagai pengetahuan baru dan bekal siswa ketika mereka mendapatkan mata pelajaran bahas inggris di pendidikan tingkat menengah atau SMP nantinya

Abstract

THE ENGLISH TRAINING USING ONLINE DICTATION”CONTENT IN WWW.ENGLISHCLUB.COM WEBSITE FOR CRUISE SHIP WORKER CANDIDATE Candidate of workers who look for a job abroad ara generally trying hard to improve their abilities in mastering theri english proficiencey. Based on a preliminary study conducted to pre-worker group in Kotabaru Jogjakarta, it was found that some of them were preparing to work in a cruise ship abroad. They were studying English and they got free training from volunteers. The training was given un a form of dictation listening activity using Önline Dictation”content in www,englishclub.com website. The training was given to a group of pre-workers graduated from Senior High School and College. They were in a wait list to work in a cruise ship abroad. The training was given in a form of lecture, stimulation and practice. It was conducted on Januari 14, 2021 at Jl. Patimura Yogyakarta. There were 22 participants joining the training anthusiastically. The team gave a stimulation by playing listening audio with normal and slow versions of the speech. The two versions played once and the participants wrote what they listened in the audio during the slow versions played. The topic of the dictation includes in the basic and intermediate levels. At the end of the session the participants were given refrence resources and audio format for them to do self study. It is hoped that the participants can study and practice the dictation technique to improve their ability in listening skill independently. Keywords:, English, Dictation, Listening, Training

Abstract

ABSTRACT The mothers in Karangploso received counseling related to dengue fever due to the emergence of dengue fever cases. The mothers who received counseling mostly brought their children during the counseling. The team initiated to give treatment to the children by giving them a training during the activity so that the mothers could receive counseling with full concentration. The special treatment given to their children was by providing English language training. English training was provided with the concept of English for kids. The training was given on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 08.30 – 12.00 at the early childhood education hall and RA Bunayya ICBB. The training participants were children from the binbaz housing complex with a total of 17 participants. They were provided guidance in understanding everyday vocabulary for children by providing simulated examples of how to read the vocabulary and asking children to follow the examples given. It is hoped that this training and mentoring will provide great benefits for children in recognizing and mastering English.

Abstract

In pre-school education, some PAUD and TPA have already introduced English even though there are only a few introductions but some have not provided English language material at all. English language training for TPA students is important to do to prepare children to learn English lessons they will get in elementary school and it can be given as knowledge for children. In Dusun Mojosari, English language has not become one of the regular learning menus due to the limited human resources of existing teachers. STIKes Madani Yogyakarta in its efforts to realize the mission of being a college in an effort to provide real contribution to the benefit of the people, is trying to provide training and service to the community especially around institutions. The institution not only provides health training but also training related to foreign languages given by lecturers of English. One of the training was also given for TPA students in Dusun Mojosari Situmulyo Piyungan Bantul. The purpose of this training is to provide basic training for TPA students in Dusun Mojosari to help them to have the basic reading skills in English from a very basic level. This material is necessary to be given considering the age of students in the TPA in Mojosari which they are mostly in pre-primary age. Students were given the correct English pronunciation material and given the opportunity to practice pronunciation (pronunciation) that is appropriate from the alphabet level then to the English phrase or word given. It is expected that the training could give knowledge and experience as provision for them to get English lessons while entering the elementary school so that they can be more easy in learning English.

Abstract

TRAINING AND ASSISTANCE IN UNDERSTANDING ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS IN MAKING DIGITAL BOOK FOR TEACHERS WHO IMPLEMENTS ONLINE LEARNING ICBB PUTRI ABSTRACT During the Covid-19 pandemic, almost all schools carried out online or online learning, including the women's SU/SD and early childhood education at the Islamic Center Binbaz (ICBB). There are many limitations and shortcomings of online learning methods, including the abundance of digital files/documents that make the teacher's cell phone full of memory storage. One way to overcome this problem is to create a digital book that can be made online and taken from a website that provides free digital book formats, namely www.ebookcreator.com. The website is available in English so training and assistance in making digital books were provided. The training was conducted on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 08.30 – 12.00 at the hall of RA Bunayya ICBB. The training participants were female teachers of SD/SU ICBB and PAUD&RA Bunayya with a total of 22 participants. Guidance on understanding the English guidelines on the website was given during the training and step-by-step guidance on making digital books. All participants directly practiced making digital books using their laptops. Each participant was guided to make the digital book from the stage of creating a new account, creating and choosing the type of digital book that suits the teaching needs to the final stage of how to distribute the digital book that has been completed in the form of a link to students and parents. Abstract

The application of English in daily communication is one of the ways to increase English proficiency. Anyone who learns English needs to apply daily speaking practice to increase English skills. The training was held on July 20 2022 through zoom meeting for participants from Omah Amal Yogyakarta. The service team provided training by providing examples of the easiest tenses table, explaining the easiest tricks to understand table tenses, providing examples of use in the simplest way to be applied, giving exercises and speaking applications by applying tenses tables and simulation examples from starting with lectures, simulations and practice. Assessment was given in the form speaking activities. The evaluation results show 85% of the participants understood and were able to apply the training materials well

Abstract

Perangkat online atau digital sudah menjadi hal yang biasa di jaman sekarang apalagi paska pandemic Covod-19 ketikasebagain besar masayarakata dunia memaksimalkan fungsi digital yang kemudian menjadi gaya hidup sampai saat ini. Penggunaan ebook salah satunya menjadi hal yang digunakan dalam dunia pembelajaran. Ebook tidak hanya menguntungkan sacara material karea paperless tapi juga memudahkan akses dan pembagian atau penyebaran dokumennya. Anak-anak yang sudah biasa mendapatkana materi dalam bentuk e-book perlu diberikan kemampuan untuk menyusun sendiri ebook mereka untuk melatih kreatifitas dalam membuat karya tulis. Atas dasar ini team pengabdiam masyarakat memberikan pelatihan kepada kelompok anak dan remaja Babaussalam yang ada di dusun munggur Rt 1 Desa Srimartani Piyungan Bantul. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada hari Jumat 16 Desember 2023 di kegiatan rutin Kajian Babussalam. Team pangabdian memberikan pelatihan dengan memberikan simulasi dan panduan bagaimana membat buku cerita dengan mengguanakan webbased ebook dari storyjumper.com. Kegiatan di ikuti oleh 22 peserta anak dan remaja laki-laki. Setelah kegiatan selesai peserta dapat menunjukkan pemahamannya tentang bagaimana membuat bukucerita digital dengan menggunakan webbased ebook storyjumper.com
