Abstract

abstrak   Reading is a process undertaken to obtain a message so that the message obtained can be received well, it is better to do the reading activity in the heart which is also called reading comprehension. Write a review is an activity to write book reviews or book scales. In order to write a book review done well then we first read the book to be diresensi it. To read the book is better implemented by reading comprehension activities. The purpose of this study is to describe the relationship of reading comprehension skills by writing a student review of grade XI SMA Negeri I Sosopan. The respondents of this research are students of class XI SMA Negeri I Sosopan which amounted to 30 people. The type of this research is descriptive by using quantitative approach. The data obtained from the analysis of test scores obtained by respondents who answered questions in the form of objective and subjective. The objective test consists of 50 questions. The subjective test data were obtained from the student data which made reviews of the two short stories that were shared. The collected data were analyzed by the following steps: 1) grouping the students scores per aspect and generally using the percentage formula, 2) grouping the student scores into a scale of 10, 3) finding the average test score of the students, 4) testing death correlation used the test formula "t". With the use of product formula the moment of ability to read comprehension by writing a student review class XI SMA Negeri I Sosopan is 0.320. So the relationship of reading comprehension skills by writing reviews is low. This shows no significant correlation between the two variables because in the product table the moment of significant significance 0.05 is 0.361. The use of the "t" test formula for hypothesis testing yields a magnitude of 1.79, whereas the "t" table is 1.70. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the ability to read comprehension by writing reviews of students of Class XI SMA Negeri I Sosopan.

Abstract

The reducing of local wisdom value in industrial revolution has been marked with increasing of digitalization activities on human life, in which it is one be worried to affect pola of life characteristics of young generation. The Society 5.0. era can be known with critical-mindset in getting adaptation for the future, such as: analytical, critical, and creativity. Then the qualitative method is used to conduct this research with documentation through literature review and interview as the techniques for collecting data. The cyber-literature based on local wisdom in creating characteristics of the students on society 5.0. should be filled into three abilities, namely: basic-literature, skill, and character. The learning of cyber-literature based on local wisdom in creating characteristics of the students should be taken into effectively, contextual, and innovative, in which they are functioned to create the motivation as well as interest of the students in reading local-literature by looking the aspects of kindness-values that worked to create the characteristics of the students in the brilliant-future. Keywords:  Cyber-Literature, Local Wisdom, Characteristics of Society 5.0.

Abstract

This study discusses the problem of effective sentences in the essay of argumentation for class X students of Sosopan 1 Public High School. The aim is to see the students 'ability to write by paying attention to the aspects of economics and the use of spelling that is perfected in students' essays. To be able to draw conclusions in this study, the authors formulated a research problem namely "How is the ability to use effective sentences in terms of savings and the use of spelling that is perfected in the essay of argumentation in class X of Sosopan 1 Public High School. Effective sentences are sentences that can express ideas, thoughts and feelings appropriately. Effective sentences must be colored by good and correct use of enhanced spelling (EYD). Savings referred to here are those sentences that avoid redundant words, namely repetition of the subject, the possibility of hyponym, the use of the word that is unnecessary, the use of prepositions from and rather than unnecessary, while the use of EYD is seen from writing on, to and from composition of students. This research is a descriptive study, the population in this study were students of class X SMA 1 Sosopan. Sampling was carried out by local random sampling conducted by lottery and from the lottery results, the class X3 was selected as a sample of 30 people. The object studied is the effectiveness of sentences in terms of savings and the use of enhanced spelling (EYD) in the essays of student argumentation. Analyzing sentences is done using a percentage formula, which is the number of ineffective sentences divided by the total number of sentences, then multiplied by 100%. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the average student's ability to use effective sentences in terms of savings and use of enhanced spelling (EYD) in students' essays is categorized as "good" (71.9% of 591 sentences). The effective sentence includes, a) the repetition of a subject consisting of 93 errors or 56% of ineffective sentences, b) the possibility of a hyponym consists of 22 errors or 13.2% of ineffective sentences, c) the use of prepositions from and than what is not needed consists of 10 errors or 6% of ineffective sentences, d) the use of conjunctions that are not needed consists of 3 errors or 1.9% of the number of ineffective sentences, e) Writing on, to and from consists of 38 or 22.9% of the number of ineffective sentences.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the figure of speech that was used by the author of novel entitle Perempuan mencari Tuhan.. The sources were novel entitle Perempuan mencari Tuhan, text books, and scientific paper which include the result of research, such as, script, thesis, articles, and journal from internet. Writing technique was used to collect the data. Triangulation was used to validate the data. Flow analysis was used for data technique analysis which includes three components. They are data reduction, presentation of the data, take conclusion. The procedure of the research consist of four steps, they collecting the data, selection of the data, analyzing the data, and making report of the research. Based on the result of this research, it could be taken the conclusion that the figure of speech which was used in the novel entitle Perempuan mencari Tuhan were: a) comparative which include hyperbola, metaphor, elepsis, prrsonifikasi, tautologi, persamaan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the equivalent in integrated thematic book of Angkola - Mandailing language. The research was conducted for two months (June – July 2021) in Institut Pendidikan Tapanuli Selatan and the approach of the research used descriptive qualitative. Object of the research is integrated thematic book at the first grade students of elementary school, 2017 edition revised 2013. The data of the research includes words and sentence in Indonesian thematic textbooks, Mr. Jamal Nasution. Validity of the data is the expert team from the Language Center of North Sumatra Province. The results showed that the edited equivalent of the words in the appropriate book in the Angkola-Mandailing language includes 127 words and sentences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mendeskripsikan penggunaan variasi bahasa sapaan yang digunakan pedagang di Pasar Sangkumpal Bonang Kota Padangsidimpuan dan 2) Mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang melatar belakangi penggunaan variasi bahasa sapaan di Pasar Sangumpal Bonang Kota Padangsidimpuan. Objek penelitian ini adalah variasi bahasa (penjual dan pembeli) dan dianalisis kajian Sosiolinguistik yang terkandung dalam variasi bahasa sapaan di pasar sangkumpal bonang. Informan peneliti merupakan subjek, responden atau orang yang ditentukan menjadi narasumber bahan penelitian memberi informan dan membantu peneliti sampai tahap penyediaan data.Kriteria yang harus dipenuhi sebagai informan. Pengumpulan data merupakan teknik yang digunakan oleh peneliti untuk mendapatkan data yang diperlukan dari narasumber dengan menggunakan banyak waktu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik yang dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui validitas data, yaitu: Teknik trianggulasi, Pengecekan kebenaran informasi kepada para informan yang telah ditulis oleh peneliti dalam laporan penelitian, Akan mendiskusikan dan menyeminarkan dengan tema sejawat di jurusan tempat penelitian belajar termasuk koreksi di bawah para pembimbing. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis interaktif.
