Abstract

This article aims at analysing the potentials of and threats to the coral reefsin Pemuteran, Buleleng, Bali, as a tourist resorts. Coral reefs have the potentialsto atrract tourists visit and therefore preserving them provides somebenefits economically and ecological). However there are some threats to thesustuinability of the coral reefs ecosystem. In order to maximize the benefitsand preserve the ecosystem, tourism businessmen and NGOs involve the localcommunity in managing and preserving the coral reefs.

Abstract

Denpasar city government has planned Badung River as one of the tourism objects for a city tour. however, the plan has not been executed. The main problem is that the river is still very dirty and polluted by waste products. This writing explores the use of the participatory approach, an approach which involves stakeholders such as the local government, private entrepreneurs, nongoverment officers and the young generation (students) to carry out the plan.

Abstract

Bali sebagai destinasi pariwisata Indonesia, te/ah mengalami perkembangan, baik dari jumlah wisatawan maupun produk wisatanya. Sa/ah satu jenis daya tarik wisata yang berkembang di Bali adalah daya tarik wisata buatan adalah Theme Park. Hingga saat ini te/ah berdiri beberapa theme park di Bali, diantaranya theme park dengan tema air seperti Waterbom, New Kuta Green Park, Circus Waterpark, dan Gran Surya Water Park, theme park dengan tema fauna seperti Bali Zoo, Bali Safari and Marine Park, Bali Bird Park, Elephant Safari Park Lodge, dan Taman Kupu-Kupu, serta theme park dengan tema budaya sepeti Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), dan Taman Nusa.Preferensi pengunjung terhadap masing-masing atribut Bali Zoo dan Bali Bird Park berada pada kuadran 3 (kanan bawah) dengan keunggulan atribut park attraction dan shows in the park. Agar preferensi wisatawan tetap terjaga, hendaknya Bali Zoo harus dapat mempertahankan keunggulan-keunggulan yang dimi/ikinya. Circus Waterpark berada pada kuadran 1 (kiri alas) dengan keunggulan atribut theme of the park, clean{iness of the park dan park safety and security. Bali Safari and Marine Park, Elephant Safari Park Lodge dan Waterbom berada pada kuadran 2 (kanan atas) dengan keunggulan atribut atmosphere, park reputation,food and drink served in the park dan souvenir and merchandise. New Kuta Green Park berada kuadran 4 (kiri bawah) dengan keunggulan atribut park entrance fee.

Abstract

Agro-tourism is one of alternative tourism which can be implemented with a sustainable concept. It is potential tourism that can provide benefits in economic, socio-cultural, and environmental aspects which are already in accordance with the sustainable tourism goals. Agro-tourism activities emphasize on the quality of the environment, conservation and welfare improvement of the local community, especially farmers. It is expected that the community members are actively involved in agro-tourism development so as to increase their welfare and to ensure the continuity of agro-tourism activities in their area.
