Abstract

The Library of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang is one of the university libraries that uses a system automation and union catalog system to meet the information needs of the academic community. This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction of users in utilizing union catalog using the End User Computing Catalog Satisfaction (EUCS) approach. This study uses a quantitative method with a total sample of 100 visitors to the Palembang Raden Fatah UIN Library. From the calculation of the mean and grand mean it was found that the subvariable content obtained a high score of 3.98, the subvariable accuracy obtained a high score of 3.97. In the subvariabel the format obtained a high score of 4.09. punctuality earned a high score of 4.01. The grand mean catalog satisfaction variable together with the End User Computing Satisfaction approach, obtained a value of 4.03 from the average value of 5 satisfaction subvariables. With a value of 4.01 which indicates that user satisfaction is at a high level. Keywords: author guidelines, Pustaka Budaya, article template

Abstract

Management of dynamic records is a process of controlling dynamic records efficiently including the creation, use, and maintenance, and shrinkage of records. This research was conducted to determine whether the management of dynamic archives at PT Taspen Palembang City Branch is able to support work efficiency and are there any obstacles faced by the archive manager in managing dynamic archives. This type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Informants in the study were archivists, general staff and staff assistant managers of participation. The results of this study indicate that the management of dynamic archives at PT TaspenPalembang City Branch is running well enough. PT Taspen Palembang City Branch has implemented aspects in the management of dynamic archives, namely the creation and receipt of archives, archive storage, use of archives, maintenance of archives and destruction of archives. The archives are arranged according to dosir numbers or what we usually call classification numbers. PT Taspen also has SOPs in managing its archives. The archive storage uses an onsite system using the principle of decentralization. In addition, management of dynamic archives at PT Taspen Palembang City Branch is not only done manually but also uses an application called Electronic Leitz Ordner (ELO) so that this becomes one of the factors in supporting work efficiency, with this application of course must also be supported by managers who are experts in technology, so that archives are well managed. The obstacles faced by the management of archives are related to Human Resources (HR), namely the lack of expert archive management or archivists, most of the human resources currently have an educational background not from the field of archives. As for other constraints related to budget, archive security systems and facilities for archives that are still lacking.Keywords: records management, dynamic archives, work efficiencyABSTRAKPengelolaan arsip dinamis merupakan sebuah proses pengendalian arsip dinamis secara efisien meliputi penciptaan, penggunaan, dan pemeliharaan, serta penyusutan arsip. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah pengelolaan arsip dinamis di PT Taspen Cabang Kota Palembang mampu menunjang efisiensi kerja dan adakah kendala yang dihadapi pihak pengelola arsip dalam mengelola arsip dinamis. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian adalah arsiparis, staff umum dan staff asisten manager kepesertaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan arsip dinamis di PT Taspen Cabang Kota Palembang sudah cukup berjalan dengan baik. PT Taspen Cabang Kota Palembang telah menjalankan aspek- aspek dalam pengelolaan arsip dinamis yaitu penciptaan dan penerimaan arsip, penyimpanan arsip, penggunaan arsip, pemeliharaan arsip dan pemusnahan arsip. Arsipnya disusun berdasarkan dengan nomor dosir atau yang biasa kita sebut sebagai nomor klasifikasi. PT Taspen juga memiliki SOP dalam pengelolaan arsipnya. Penyimpanan arsipnya menggunakan sistem onsite dengan menggunakan azas desentralisasi. Selain itu, pengelolaan arsip dinamis di PT Taspen Cabang Kota Palembang tidak hanya dilakukan secara manual melainkan juga menggunakan aplikasi yang bernama Electronic Leitz Ordner (ELO) sehingga hal ini menjadi salah satu faktor dalam menunjang efisiensi kerja, dengan adanya aplikasi tersebut tentunya juga harus didukung oleh pengelola yang ahli dalam teknologi, sehingga arsip terkelola dengan baik. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi oleh pengelolaan arsip adalah terkait dengan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), yakni kurangnya tenaga ahli pengelola arsip atau arsiparis, kebanyakan sumber daya manusianya saat ini berlatar pendidikan bukan dari bidang kearsipan. Adapun kendala lainnya terkait dengan anggaran, sistem pengamanan arsip dan fasilitas untuk arsip yang masih kurang.

Abstract

This study discusses the Management of Internal Inactive Records in the Banyuasin District Library and Archives Service. This study aims to determine how the management of internal inactive records in the Banyuasin District Library and Archives Service, as well as any obstacles encountered in managing the internal inactive records and their coping efforts at the Banyuasin District Library and Archives Service. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The data collection methods in this research are in the form of observations, interviews, and documentation. Information in this research is, one Head of Archive Management Division, one Head of Dynamic Records Management Section and one Manager of Household Infrastructure and Services. The results of this study indicate that the process of managing internal inactive records in the Banyuasin District Library and Archives Service has implemented a life cycle or record life cycle manually. In addition, it has also implemented semi-automation, namely by applying the transfer of archive media. The constraints faced in managing the internal inactive records are Human Resources / Archivists who are lacking, have not carried out annihilation, and have not re-used the automation system.

Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini membahas tentang persepsi pemustaka terhadap sistem klasifikasi Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) dengan pemanfaatan sistem temu kembali menggunakan OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog)  di UPT Perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri  Sriwijaya Palembang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitain korelasional dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 96 pemustaka dngan teknik simpel random sampeling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat  hubungan yang signifikan antara Persepsi Pemustaka Terhadap Sistem Klasifikasi Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Dengan Pemanfaatan Sistem Temu kembali menggunakan OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog)  Di UPT Perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri  Sriwijaya Palembang. ABSTRACTThis article iscusses the perceptions of users to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) classification system by utilizing the retrieval system using OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) in the UPT Palembang Sriwijaya Polytechnic State Library. This study is a correlational research with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Samples in the study were 96 users with simple random sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the Perception of Users to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Classification System and the Utilization of the Retrieval System using OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) in the UPT Palembang Sriwijaya Polytechnic Library.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of librarian communication and behavior towards users to increase engagement. In the library the attitude of the librarian's behavior greatly influences the development of the library, especially to the users. Good and positive behavior certainly gives a good impression to the user. Good communication and behavior to the user will provide an attachment between the user and the library. Friendly and good behavior will change the bad image of librarians who have often said that librarians have very low temperaments. The role and attitude of a professional librarian will have a good impact on the library so that it is more advanced and developed and also has an impact on the interest of users as users of information in the library. The research method used in this article uses a qualitative method by collecting research results using primary sources, namely through research results in library research. The results of this study indicate that a librarian is expected to be able to improve his services, the librarian as well as an icon of a library is expected to change the image of a librarian who is usually considered unfavorable to a good image. Because the good image displayed by the librarian is also a benchmark in improving the quality of the library and the interest in visiting the library itself. ABSTRAK Artikel ini membahas tentang Peran Komunikasi dan Perilaku Pustakawan Terhadap Pemustaka Untuk Meningkatkan Engagement. Dalam perpustakaan sikap perilaku pustakawan sangat mempengaruhi terhadap perkembangan perpustakaan terutama terhadap pemustaka. perilaku yang baik dan positif tentu saja memberikan kesan baik kepada pemustaka. Komunikasi dan perilaku yang baik kepada pemustaka akan memberikan keterikatan antara pemustaka terhadap perpustakaan. Perilaku yang ramah dan baik akan menguubah citra buruk pustakawan yang selama ini sering dikatakan bahwa pustakawan memiliki Tempramen yang sangat kurang. Peran dan sikap pustakawan yang profesional akan memberikan dampak yang baik terhadap perpustakaan agar semakin maju dan berkembang dan juga berdampak kepada minat pemustaka selaku pengguna informasi yang ada di perpustakaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada artikel ini menggunakan Metode Kualitatif dengan pengumpulan hasil penelitian menggunakan jenis sumber primer yaitu melalui hasil penelitian pada studi pustaka. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa seorang pustakawan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pelayanannya, pustakawan juga sebagai ikon dari sebuah perpustakaan diharapkan dapat mengubah citra dari pustakawan yang biasanya dinilai kurang baik menjadi citra yang baik. Karena citra baik yang ditampilkan pustakawan juga menjadi tolok ukur dalm peningkatan mutu perpustakaan dan minat kunjung pada perpustakan itu sendiri.

Abstract

The alpha generation has creative, passionate, dynamic, leadership, and confident characters in making future career decisions, inseparable from technology in completing their work. Technological developments and pandemic conditions drastically changed the values and concepts of the line of education in carrying out teaching and learning activities and in the transfer of information. In library services, for example, major changes are needed in managing and disseminating information to respond to these conditions. This is to provide a balance in adjusting the style and character of the alpha generation in obtaining information. The purpose of this study is to analyze the character of the alpha generation so as to find patterns of information needs. In addition, it aims to determine the implications for library services. In this study, the study used was a literature study. From the description of the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the alpha generation is a multitasking generation, digital native, does not like rules, is creative, and flexible, connects, and collaborates as well as practicum. While the context of the information needs of the alpha generation tends towards information in digital formats and direct, applicable and easy information to be directly shared through social media. The implications of library services are expected to adjust the pattern of service performance to meet the information needs of the alpha generation including: changes in expectations of access to library information services that focus on idealistic and fast and sophisticated personal convenience, readiness for data appearance that is ready to share or share data directly, use of social media for promotion and communication lines across generations, the competence of librarians as professional data analysts is not only managing and maintaining but also participating in generating and repackaging information.

Abstract

Tulisan dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurai eksistensi tradisi visualisasi masyarakat melayu dalam iluminasi naskah melayu di nusantara serta untuk mendeteksi redesain warisan iluminasi dalam kepentingan masyarakat masa kini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur yang menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder yang dicari dengan teknik pengumpulan data literature dari berbagai sumber dan kemudian dianalisis dengan kebutuhan peneliti akan data yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan, tradisi visualisasi dalam iluminasi naskah melayu nusantara meurpakan refleksi intelektualitas tradisi tulis yang merupakan indicator dari gejala budaya berupa ide, sistem sosial dan praktik. Kemudian, unsur utama yang selalau ada pada naskah melayu di nusantara adalah pucuk rebung yang memiliki filosofi untukj terus tumbuh tinggi kokoh dan kuat dari terpaan angin. Kedua, redesain tradisi visualisasi iluminasi naskah melayu masih terjadi sampai saat ini terutama dalam kepentingan kesejahteraan social ekonomi untuk industry kreatif yang tertuang dalam revitaslisasi desain iluminasi menjadi bentul vector digital yang membantu mmeudahkan untuk diaplikasikan dalam berbagai desain format undangan, lukisan, bingkai cover buku, lukisan, dan batik. Salah satu yang telah terwujud adalah menjadi kain batik di berbagai daerah melayu. Melihat kondisi tersebut, naskah melayu nusantara memiliki peluang besar untuk di redesain dalam konteks kekinian. Hal ini, selain melestarikan tradisi visualisasi iluminasi naskah melayu melalui representasi makna yang khas menjadi warisan budaya yang sangat bernilai.

Abstract

This thesis discusses Human Resource Management (HR) at UPT UIN Raden Fatah Palembang Library. This study aims to determine the application of human resource management functions at UPT Library of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and to find out the obstacles in implementing the human resource management function at UPT UIN Raden Fatah Palembang Library. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The informant in this research is the Head of UPT Library of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Coordinator of cooperation development, Coordinator of user services, and staff of UPT Library UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The data that has been found is then processed using data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. To determine the application of the function of human resource management, this study uses several indicators, namely planning, organizing, mobilizing and supervising. The results of the study show that the human resource management of UPT Library UIN Raden Fatah Palembang has been applied consistently, but in the application of human resource management there are obstacles, namely the educational background of library employees.Keywords: Human Resource Management, College LibraryABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas mengenai Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) di UPT Perpustakaan UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan fungsi manajemen sumber daya manusia di UPT Perpustakaan UIN Raden Fatah Palembang serta untuk mengetahui kendala di dalam penerapan fungsi manajemen sumbr daya manusia di UPT Perpustakaan UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah obsrvasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Kepala UPT Perpustakaan UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Koordinator pengembangan kerjasama, Koordinator layanan pemustaka, dan staf UPT Perpustakaan UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Data yang telah ditemukan kemudia di olah dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Untuk mengetahui penerapan fungsi manajemen sumber daya manusia maka penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa indikator yaitu perenanaan, pengorganisasian, penggerakan dan pengawasan. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa manajemen sumber daya manusia UPT Perpustakaan UIN Raden Fatah Palembang telah diterapkan secara konsisten akan tetapi dalam penerapan manajemen sumber daya manusia terdapat kendala yaitu latar belakang pendidikan pegawai perpustakaan.
