Abstract

Diarrhea is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children in developing countries, with an estimated 1.3 billion episodes and 3.2 million deaths annually in infants. One effort to prevent the case of diarrhea is to behave Clean and Healthy Life (PHBS). The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of cleaning water use, washing hands and dispose of the correct stool with the incidence of diarrhea in infants. The method of this research is quantitative analytic with cross sectional design, the number of samples of mothers who have children 1-5 years old in RT 01 and 39 Subdistrict Kenali Asam Bawah total 56, sampling using total sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, technique of data analysis using univariate and bivariate. The result of this research showed that the respondents had PHBS based on good water usage of 47 people (83.9%). Respondents had PHBS based on hand washing with 32 persons (57.1%). Respondents had PHBS based on Disposing of feces well 17 people (30.4% ). There was no correlation between clean water use and diarrhea occurrence with p-value  = 0,907, hand washing relationship with diarrhea occurrence at under five years with p-value = 0,006, there was correlation of feces disposal correctly with diarrhea incidence in under fives with p- Value = 0,000.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease that attacks several joints, the synovium, which occurs in the inflammatory process that causes damage to the joints. The problem faced by partners is that most elderly people still do not understand rheumatism management properly such as a healthy diet, the importance of maintaining body weight to avoid obesity and have not understood traditional rheumatoid management with lemongrass therapy. This community service activity has been conducted at the Tresna Werdha Social Institution in Jambi City in December 2018. The method used a survey, lecture, discussion, demonstration / simulation approach. The results achieved are the implementation of health counseling in the elderly about rheumatoid management, demonstration of lemongrass therapy therapy and conducting pain scale measurements before and after therapy

Abstract

Deaths due to diarrhea in Indonesia have decreased. Although the mortality rate has decreased sharply, the morbidity rate is still quite high. The duration of diarrhea and the frequency of diarrhea in acute patients cannot be reduced. The highest number of diarrhea cases in Jambi Province in 2017 was in Jambi City, amounting to 11,326 cases. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge about preventing diarrhea in children. This activity was carried out in August 2020 at one of the residents' houses in the Dasawisma group at RT 047 in Kenali Asam Bawah. The target is 15 mothers with children aged 1 to 12 years. The methods used were lectures, discussion / question and answer with mothers about the prevention of diarrhea using leaflets and supplementary feeding in the form of milk, bread and cereals. After the extension activities are carried out, participants understand about the prevention of diarrhea in children and will apply what the extension team has said so that the child's health will be maintained optimally. It is recommended that parents need to equip themselves a lot with various knowledge by participating in extension activities or looking for information in print / online media related to efforts to improve children's health

Abstract

Adolescents are currently experiencing obesity because their lifestyle is much different, seen from the habit of consuming fast food. Teenagers nowadays prefer to consume fast food on the grounds of following trends, being practical and tastier. Basic Health Research data mentions obesity in adolescents aged 16-18 years with a category (BMI/U) of 4.0%, an increase from 2013 which was 1.6%. In West Kalimantan the prevalence of obesity in adolescents aged 16-18 years increased from only 1.0% in 2013 to 3.4% in 2018.  Jambi in 2017 there were 56.47% of the 1.7 million visitors at the Puskesmas. The purpose of this community service is to provide education to students in efforts to prevent obesity and to recognize and understand ideal body weight and body mass index. The initial survey on one of students, they have the habit of eating foods that contain fat such as fried snacks, fast food, don't like eating vegetables, plus for the past 2 years they have carried out online learning so they stay at home more, are less active physical activities such as sports at school or at home. One of the students had mild obesity. The service methods that will be applied are lectures, discussions, mentoring, persuasive communication, physical examinations including measuring height and weight, calculating BMI. The target of education is 25 students at SMP N 19 Jambi City Service activities are carried out in from November - January 2022. The results of the service are obtained after education there is an increase in students' knowledge about obesity and students are able to calculate ideal body weight
