Abstract

A conflict Justification, in the social fact level, has an objective distortion pertaining to the case of a cement factory in Rembang, Central Java. The conflict assuredly needs analytical thinking to avoid misperception. Hence, this research aimed at describing and analyzing the issues. The descriptive qualitative approach was chosen to deepen understanding (verstehen). The results of this research reveal that: (1) the conflict between the Rembang cement and PT. Semen Indonesia incorporation are not only the case but are series of conflicts which occur between the community and a smallscale mining company or Galian C which had previously existed for a long time; (2) Learning to know of conflict is a form of continuous conflict prevention education; (3) the conflict agent must have the actual agent capacity.
