<![CDATA[Abstract: Batik is a cultural heritage that has been recognized by UNESCO as Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. This makes Indonesian Batik is known by the world community . Batik is not only as a commodity city , but also a tourism commodity. Batik increasingly popular, batik tour terms so as to appear. Batik tours not only offers tourist to shopping batik products, but they can also know the history, the development, to the manufacturing process of batik. Solo or Surakarta is one of the producers of batik. Batik is one of the many cultures in the Solo. Solo image as a city batik not just as producers, but also because of the existence of the Batik Village that had existed in the past that still survives to this day, namely Laweyan. Laweyan in the past has big area. The area in the past, includes kelurahan pajang, sondakan, bumi and laweyan. Among these areas, Sondakan have the potential as a Batik Centre because it has the human resources as well as batik artist community. The problem, is how to plan and designing the batik tourism which support the development of human resources and engineering batik at Sondakan. The approaches used in planning and perancangaan Central Batik Solo, namely the Local Wisdom.
