Thematic integrative learning approach is given in primary schools starting from class I to class VI. The approach used to integrate the core competencies of the various subjects, namely; intra-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary. Intra Disciplinary Integration dimension includes the attitude, knowledge and skills as a whole in each subject integrated through themes. Inter Disciplinary involves combining basic competences of several subjects that are related to each other as depicted in science and social subjects are integrated on a variety of other subjects as appropriate. This is reflected in the structure of elementary curriculum for Grades I-III which have no science and social studies, but the charge is integrated into other subjects mainly Indonesian. Multi Disciplinary is a no-merge the basic competencies so that each subject area still has its own basic competencies. The picture is science and social stand-alone class IV-VI. Trans Disciplinary approach in determining the theme linking the various competencies of the subjects with the existing problems in the vicinity.
