Abstract

As a formal educational institution, schools are responsible for the character education of children. Children are the generation that will become the successor of the nation. For that children need to be prepared as early as possible education that builds the character of children such as slipping a traditional game in subjects, especially subjects of Cultural Arts and Workshops. In the traditional game tucked many messages that should be conveyed by teachers to foster children's character, so that children have provisions to face real life in the community.Basically the world of children is a world of play. Playing is a very important and fun activity in children's learning process. Through child play will be encouraged to experiment and grow well in life. Traditional games have so many different forms and variations. Traditional games tend to utilize the tools or facilities in our environment without having to buy it so it needs a high imagination and creativity. The traditional dominant game involves a relatively large number of players, so it is not surprising to see almost all the popular games of so many of its members. Besides giving priority to the common pleasure factor, this game also has more intention to deepening interaction ability among players.Besides traditional games are also loaded with noble values and certain moral messages such as values of togetherness, honesty, responsibility, attitude field of chest (if lost), encouragement of achievement, and obedience to the rules. All that is obtained if the player really enjoy, enjoy, and understand the essence of the game.

Abstract

Thematic integrative learning approach is given in primary schools starting from class I to class VI. The approach used to integrate the core competencies of the various subjects, namely; intra-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary. Intra Disciplinary Integration dimension includes the attitude, knowledge and skills as a whole in each subject integrated through themes. Inter Disciplinary involves combining basic competences of several subjects that are related to each other as depicted in science and social subjects are integrated on a variety of other subjects as appropriate. This is reflected in the structure of elementary curriculum for Grades I-III which have no science and social studies, but the charge is integrated into other subjects mainly Indonesian. Multi Disciplinary is a no-merge the basic competencies so that each subject area still has its own basic competencies. The picture is science and social stand-alone class IV-VI. Trans Disciplinary approach in determining the theme linking the various competencies of the subjects with the existing problems in the vicinity.

Abstract

Traditional games, especially traditional Balinese games have been abandoned, one reason is the rapid development of technology in various aspects of life, one of them is digital games. Traditional games actually have many benefits for children, indirectly children will be stimulated to be creative and very good for the physical and psychological training of children. It is part of the character education process, so the traditional games can be started early. In the traditional games, students are able to build social attitude, such as social ability to work together, compact, have democratic attitude and love attitude environment. social attitude is expected to facilitate or provide opportunities for positive development of children, then they will be able to achieve social development in a mature. On the contrary, if the social environment is less conducive, the social attitude of the children tend to display deviant behavior. For that, the development of a social attitude of children through traditional games is needed.
