Abstract

Student learning outcomes are influenced by many factors, both internal and external factors. One of the factors that influence student learning outcomes is teachers, the characteristics of teachers, especially the professional competence of teachers is the most determining factors of student learning outcomes. Professional competence is one of the competencies that must be possessed by teachers, which is expected to improve the quality of professionalism teachers. Related to this matter, this research will study the relation of professional competence of teacher and student learning result which done on 5 private SMK in Bandung city. This research used survey method and data collected through questionnaire given to 29 vocational teachers in Business and Management expertise. Data were analyzed by spearman rank correlation analysis technique, that is to know whether there is a significant correlation between teacher professional competence with student learning result. From the results of this study, shows that there is a relationship between the professional competence of teachers with student learning outcomes SMK field of Business and Management expertise in 5 private SMK in Bandung.ABSTRAKHasil belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, baik faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa adalah guru, karakteristik yang dimiliki guru khususnya kompetensi profesional guru merupakan faktor yang paling menentukan hasil belajar siswa. Kompetensi profesional merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh guru, yang mana diharapkan profesionalisme guru dapat meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Sekaitan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini hendak mengkaji hubungan kompetensi profesional guru dan hasil belajar siswa yang dilakukan pada 5 SMK swasta di kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 29 orang guru SMK bidang keahlian Bisnis dan Manajemen. Data dianalisis melalui teknik analisis data korelasi rank spearman, yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kompetensi profesional guru dengan hasil belajar siswa. Dari hasil kajian ini, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi profesional guru dengan hasil belajar siswa SMK bidang keahlian Bisnis dan Manajemen  pada 5 SMK swasta di kota Bandung.
