Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa ditinjau dari Self-efficacy siswa SMA. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Ilmu Alam SMA Negeri 09 Bombana yang terdiri dari 2 kelas paralel. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sampling total. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik (pretest dan posttest) berbentuk tes uraian, angket Self-efficacy siswa dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan uji hipotesis Uji-t beda dua rataan dari data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang diajar dengan model Problem Based Learning maupun siswa yang diajar dengan model Discovery Learning; (2) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang diajar model Problem Based Learning tidak lebih tinggi dibanding dengan siswa yang diajar dengan model Discovery Learning; (3) tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang diajar dengan model Problem Based Learning dengan siswa yang diajar dengan model Discovery Learning ditinjau dari Self-efficacy siswaKata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Model Discovery Leaerning, Self-efficacy Siswa. Abstract: This research aims to study and analize the Effect of Problem Based Learning Learning Model with Scientific Approach on the Ability to Solve Student’ Matematical Problems in Terms of Self-efficacy of High School Students. The population in this study were all students of class XI Ilmu Alam SMA Negeri 09 Bombana consisting of 2 parallel classes. Sampling in this study uses total sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out by giving a test of mathematical problem solving abilities (pretest and posttest) in the form of description test, student Self-efficacy questionnaires and observation sheets. Data were analyzed  using descriptive and inferential statistic by testing hyphothesis that used T-test. The results showed that: (1) there was an increase in students mathematical problem solving abilities tought by Problem Based Learning models as well as students tought with Discovery Learning models; (2) the improvement of matematical problem solving skills of students tounght by Problem Based Learning models is not higer than that of student tought with Discovery Learning models; (3) there are not differences in the average increase in students’ mathematical problem solving abilities tought with Problem Based Learning models with students tought with Discovery Learning models in terms of student Self-efficacy. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Discovery Learning Model  and Student Self-efficacy.
