Abstract

Perlakuan T3 (24.000 indv. B. plicatilis/liter/ekor ikan/hari) menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup larva ikan tertinggi yaitu 80%.Kata kunci: kelangsunganhidup; Baechionus plicatilis; Beronang (Siganus javus)  One of the problems faced in rabbitfish hatcheries (Siganus javus) is high mortality rate of the larvae (90%). Probably, one important caused of this high mortality rate is the uncertainty of the dosage of natural food (rotifer; Brachionus plicatilis Muller) given to the larvae. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of different dosage of B. plicatilis Muller on the survival rate of rabbitfish larvae. The results of the present study showed that there was a significant effect (P<0,05) of different dosage B. plicatilis Muller on the survival rate of rabbitfish larvae. The highest survival rate of the larvae (80%) was found on those given T3 treatment i.e. 24.000 indv./L/fish/day.Keywords: survival rate; mortality; Brachionus plicatilis; Rabbitfish (Siganus javus).
