Abstract

 ABSTRAK           Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut fermentasi yang optimal terhadap konsumsi ransum, produksi telur puyuh, massa telur, dan konversi ransum. Materi yang digunakan yaitu 160 ekorpuyuh betina umur 8 minggu dengan bobot rata-rata211,75 ± 4,43 gram.Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan yang terdiri : T0 (Ransum tanpa tepung limbah rumput laut), T1(Ransum dengan tepung limbah rumput laut non fermentasi 10%), T2 (Ransum dengan tepung limbah rumput laut fermentasi 12,5%), T3 (Ransum dengan tepung limbah rumput laut fermentasi 15%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap peningkatan konsumsi ransum, peningkatan konversi ransum, penurunan produksi telur, dan penurunan massa telur. Kesimpulan yaitu penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut fermentasi level 12,5% sampai level 15% menurunkan performans puyuh petelur. Kata kunci : puyuh petelur;limbah rumput laut; fermentasi; performans. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of used of seaweed by product powder optimal fermented on feed consumption, quail egg production, egg mass and feed conversion. The material used 160 female quail aged 8 weeks with an average weight of 211,75 ± 4,43 g. The study use a completely randomized design (CRD), with 4 treatments and 5 replicates comprising: T0 (ration without by product seaweed powder), T1 (ration with non-fermented seaweed by product powder 10%), T2 (Rations with fermented seaweed by product powder 12,5%), T3 (Rations with fermented seaweed by product powder 15%). The results showed that treatment significantly (P <0,05) increased feed intake, increased feed conversion, decreased the daily production, and decreased egg mass. The conclusion that seaweed by product fermented powder level of 12,5% to 15% lower the level of performance of laying quail. Keywords: quail laying; seaweed by product ; fermentation; performance.
