Abstract

ABSTRAKVitamin C merupakan vitamin larut dalam air dan sering digunakan sebagai suplemen. Fungsi vitamin C bisa meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh terhadap penyakit dan sebagai antioksidan yang menetralkan radikal bebas didalam darah maupun cairan.Analisis vitamin C dapat dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kualitatif dilakukan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya vitamin C dalam sampel sedangkan analisis kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar vitamin C dalam sampel. Artikel review ini akan mengulas mengenai analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif vitamin C. Analisi kualitatif yang diuraikan adalah dengan menggunakan pereaksi benedict dan analisis kuantitatif yang diuraikan meliputititrasi asam basa, iodimetri, penggunaan diklorofenolindofenol (DCIP), spektrofotometri, dan metode DPPH.Kata kunci : Vitamin C, Analisis kualitatif, Analisis kuantitatif ABSTRACTVitamin C is a water-solublevitamin and is often used as a supplement. The function of vitamin C can increase the body's resistance to disease and as an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals in the blood and fluids. Vitamin C can be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative analysis was conducted to determine the presence or absence of vitamin C in the sample while quantitative analysis was done to determine the levels of vitamin C in the sample. This review article will cover the qualitative and quantitative analysis of vitamin C. The qualitative analyzes can be performed using benedict reagents and quantitative analysis including acid-basetitration, iodimetricmethod, dichlorophenolindophenol (DCIP) method, spectrophotometric method, and DPPH method.Keywords, Vitamin C, Qualitative analysis, Quantitative analysis
