<![CDATA[Analysis of Agropolitan Area Development Based on Food Crops at Malaka Regency in East Nusa Tenggara Province Malaka Regency is included in the development region for export-oriented food production at the bordering region due to its potential food crop agriculture. The purpose of the research is to identify strategic food crop commodities and potential farming to be developed, and to identify potential areas for agropolitan development based on the availability of facilities and infrastructure. Data collection is carried out through surveys and interviews to relevant agencies. The study employed Location Quotient and Shift Share analysis to find out food crops which have comparative and competitive advantages. Furthermore, Scalogram analysis method was employed to identify the area for agropolitan development based on the availability of facilities and infrastructures. Results of the analysis show that the main commodity for food crops production is corn and potential center for corn agribusiness development area is at Wewiku District, which is supported by the availability of facilities and infrastructures compared to others. Findings of this research are expected to further strengthen Malaka Regency as a corn production center in the bordering region.]]>
