<![CDATA[The aimed of this research was to find out the influence of discovery learning to students conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population of this research was students of grade VIII in SMP Negeri 17 Pesawaran in academic year of 2016/2017 that were distributed into eight classes. The sample of this research was students of VIII A and VIII B class which were chosen by cluster random sampling technique. This research used pretest posttest control group design. Research data were obtained through conceptual understanding of mathematics test. Data analysis of this research used t-test. Based on the result of the research, it was concluded that discovery learning affects the students conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh discovery learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 17 Pesawaran tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII B yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji t.
