Cooking oil is also one of the basic needs that are often used by housewives. The price of cooking oil is increasing every year, making housewives back to managing expenses for household needs. one method that is often used is to use cooking oil repeatedly. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling on the behavior of housewives about the use of cooking oil more than 2 times the use in the Banana Garden Village in 2017. This study used the Quasi Experimental research method using the design of one group pretest-posttest design The population in this study were all housewives in Kebun Pisang Village. Samples in this study were 123 people with sample selection carried out by proportional stratified random sampling. The value of t count knowledge variable is -9.151 with a p value of 0,000 <0.05 while the value of t count for the attitude variable is -12,699 with a p value of 0,000 <0,05 and the calculated value for the action variable is -15,394 p value for 0,000 <0,05 using a paired t-test static test, it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving Counseling about the use of cooking oil more than 2 times the use of Knowledge, Attitudes, and Actions of housewives in the Banana Garden Village in 2017. The results of the study recommended to the mother of the house It is expected that the housewife after receiving counseling on the use of cooking oil, it is better to use cooking oil no more than 2 times. Health workers are expected to be able to provide more complete and detailed information (recommendations for cooking oil).
