Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the students’ understanding of the concept ofsubstraction through story problems. Theresearch method used was Classroom ActionResearch (CAR). The instrument used in this research was Student Worksheet andRPP implementation sheet as well as data analysis technique using descriptiveanalysis technique. On the cycle I, the percentage of student academic learning scoreresult reached 20%. Meanwhile, on cycle II, the percentage of student academiclearning score result increased to 100%. Based on the result of this study, it can beconcluded that the students’ understanding of the concept of substraction hasincreased.Keywords: Understanding The Concept of Substraction, Story ProblemsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konseppengurangan siswa melalui soal cerita. Metode penelitian ini yaitu dengan PenelitianTindakan Kelas (PTK). Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan Lembar Kerja Siswa(LKS) dan lembar keterlaksanaan RPP serta teknik analisis data menggunakan teknikanalisis deskritif. Hasil perolehan nilai siklus I presentase hasil belajar siswa telahtercapai adalah 20%. Siklus II presentase hasil belajar siswa meningkat menjadi100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konseppengurangan siswa telah mengalami peningkatan.Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep Pengurangan, Soal Cerita
