Model pembelajaran agama Islam berbasis pesantren di Panti Asuhan Al-Ma’wa Sumberpucung Malang

Abstract

This study aims to describe the reasons of the Al-Ma’wa Orphanage in Sumberpucung Malang in implementing Islamic teaching based pesantren education models and its implementation in the field. This research used a qualitative approach with the type of case study. Data research were collected by observation, interview, and documentary techniques. The data collected were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis techniques. To test the validity of the data researcher used triangulation techniques and methods. The results showed that the application of the Islamic teaching based pesantren model at the Al-Ma'wa Orphanage was motivated by the desire to change the character of the orphanage orphans to have independence and high self-confidence in dealing with life problems, and to foster the hopes of the orphanage orphans to be more optimistic in welcoming the future. The results also show that in implementing Islamic teaching based pesantren models, the al-Ma'wa orphanage uses a teacher center learning approach combined with student center learning, and applys  conventional methods with diverse techniques that are adapted to the learning situations and conditions. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan alasan Panti Asuhan al-Ma’wa Sumberpucung Malang dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran agama Islam berbasis pesantren dan pelaksanaannya di lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan documenter. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisa dengan teknik analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Untuk menguji keabsahan data digunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran agama Islam berbasis pesantren yang dilaksanakan di panti asuhan al-Ma’wa Sumberpucung dilatarbelakangi oleh keinginan mengubah karakter anak asuh panti asuhan agar memiliki kemandirian dan kepercayaan diri yang tinggi dalam menghadapi persoalan kehidupan, dan untuk menumbuhkan asa anak asuh panti asuhan agar lebih optimis menyongsong masa depan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa untuk melaksankan model pembelajaran agama Islam berbasis pesantren, panti asuhan al-Ma’wa menggunakan pendekatan teacher center learning yang digabungkan dengan student center learning, menerapkan metode konvensional dengan teknik yang beragam yang disesuaikan dengan situasi dan kondisi pembelajaran.
