<![CDATA[The shallot plants planted in the highlands produce small tubers and have a longer harvest life of 80 - 90 days. Therefore, shallot cultivation is recommended to be planted in the lowlands because in addition to the large bulbs produced, the harvesting age is short, namely 60-70 days depending on the variety. One of the factors that can affect the growth of shallots is ZA fertilizer. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with one factor that was repeated three times. The data obtained were analyzed using variance and followed by the least significant difference (LSD) test with a level of 5%. The results showed that ZA fertilizer had a very significant effect on observations of plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers per hill, tuber wet weight per hill, tuber dry weight per hill and production per hectare. The highest yield was achieved in the fertilizer dose treatment of 400 kg ZA/ha (N4) for plant height of 32,599 cm, number of leaves as many as 35,513 pieces, number of tubers of 8,803 pieces, wet weight of tubers per clump of 37,513 grams per clump, weight of dry tubers of 31,279 grams per clump and production per hectare of 12,109 tons per hectare.Tanaman bawang merah yang ditanam di dataran tinggi menghasilkan umbi yang kecilkecil dan umur panenya lebih lama yaitu 80 - 90 hari. Oleh karena itu budidaya bawang merah dianjurkan untuk ditanam di dataran rendah sebab selain umbi yang dihasilkan besar besar, umur panennya pendek yaitu 60 - 70 hari tergantung dari varietasnya. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan bawang merah yaitu pupuk ZA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) dengan taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk ZA terjadi pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap pengamatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi per rumpun, berat basah umbi per rumpun, berat kering umbi per rumpun dan produksi tiap hektar. Hasil tertinggi dicapai pada perlakuan dosis pupuk 400 kg ZA/ha (N4) untuk tinggi tanaman sebesar 32.599 cm, jumlah daun sebanyak 35.513 buah, jumlah umbi sebesar 8.803 buah , berat basah umbi per rumpun sebesar 37.513 gram per rumpun, berat umbi kering sebesar 31.279 gram per rumpun dan produksi tiap hektar sebesar 12.109 ton per hektar. ]]>
