<![CDATA[Research on the analysis of nitrate and nitrite content in refill drinking water using Uv -Vis spectrophotometry method aims to determine the concentration of nitrate and nitrite compounds in refill drinking water samples produced by Refill Drinking Water Depots (DAMIU) located in 5 (five) locations in Seberang Ulu II Subdistrict, Palembang City. This study uses a descriptive survey method to get an idea of the quality of drinking water with parameters of the content of nitrate and nitrite compounds. Determination of nitrate and nitrite concentrations was carried out at the BTKLPP Laboratory (Institute for Environmental Health and Disease Control) South Sumatra Province. The results showed that the concentrations of nitrate and nitrite compounds contained in the five samples of refill drinking water all met the requirements set forth in KEP.MEN. KES RI No. 492 / MENKES / PER / IV / 2010, namely for nitrate compounds below 50 mg/L and nitrite compounds below 3 mg/L.Keywords: nitrate and nitrite, refill drinking water, UV-Vis spectrophotometryABSTRAKPenelitian tentang analisa kandungan nitrat dan nitrit dalam air minum isi ulang menggunakan metode spektrofotometri Uv-Vis bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi senyawa nitrat dan nitrit dalam sampel air minum isi ulang yang diproduksi Depot Air Minum Isi Ulang (DAMIU) yang berada di 5 (lima) lokasi di Kecamatan Seberang Ulu II Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodesurvey yang bersifat deskriptif untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang kualitas air minum dengan parameter kandungan senyawa nitrat dan nitrit. Penentuan konsentrasi nitrat dan nitrit dilaksanakan di Laboratorium BTKLPP (Balai Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan dan Pengendalian Penyakit) Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi senyawa nitrat dan nitrit yang terkandung dalam kelima sampel air minum isi ulang semuanya memenuhi persyaratan yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan KEP.MEN.KES RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010, yaitu untuk senyawa nitrat di bawah 50 mg/L dan senyawa nitrit dibawah 3 mg/L.Kata Kunci: nitrat dan nitrit , air minum isi ulang, sprektrofotometri UV-Vis]]>
